Re: How to do marine engineering after completing diploma in mechanical engineering with 59%
After diploma in mechanical engineering if you want to take admission in marine engineering in B.Tech then there are two ways to take admission in B.Tech in marine engineering. One way to take admission in B.Tech through lateral entry entrance examination and other way is to take admission through engineering entrance examination in first year of engineering.
To take admission in B.Tech marine engineering you may appear in lateral entry entrance examination(LEET). This is a state level examination. If you can clear this examination with good rank then you will be able to take admission in B.Tech in different institution directly in second year of engineering. You may choose any branch of engineering at the time of admission but it is always preferable that you choose your B.Tech branch from diploma branch. Easily you can choose marine engineering as you have done diploma in mechanical engineering. This way will be very good for you because through lateral entry examination you will take admission in second year of engineering, it will save your one year. In other way you may appear in engineering entrance examination. There are so many engineering entrance examination through which you may take admission in B.Tech with any branch of engineering. Few of the most popular engineering entrance examinations are IIT JEE, AIEEE and state level engineering entrance examination. Through these engineering entrance examination you will be able to take admission in first year of engineering. You may choose marine engineering branch after clearing any one of this engineering entrance examination. If you can crack AIEEE examination then you will be able to choose your institution through out India and in NITs. If you clear IIT JEE then you will be able to take admissions in IIT. If you crack state level engineering entrance examination then you will be able to choose your college from your state only. You can take admission in marine engineering through any one of these two way. You can not take admission in IIT through lateral entry entrance examination. If you are interested to take admission in IIT then only way to crack the IIT JEE examination. Beside this two way there are some private institution those offer admission through your previous examination marks or in management quota. But I don't think those are the best way to take admission in engineering. You will not get chance in that way. Government engineering colleges are also under lateral entry entrance examination. So if you can crack lateral entry examination with good rank then you will be able to take admission in government engineering college also. All the best . If you are interested to do marine engineering after diploma in mechanical engineering then it suits you surely. |
