Sir/madam, I am Jahirul Islam from Bangalore.I am belong to a poor family. I have completed diploma in computer science & engineering.

I would like to study in BE through LATERAL ENTRY in next year. My first preferable institutes are IIT or NIT, if its not possible then other best institute . But my problems are
1). I don't know how do I get admission such a big institution?
2).Which are the entrance exam I should attend , when and where ?
3).Is there any possibility to get direct admission in IIT or NIT without entrance exam ?
4).How do I take preparation for entrance exam , where I get course materiel and coaching for entrance exam .
5).There are many private coaching center in Bangalore, So I am confuse where should I join for coaching ? please refer me the best and reasonable price coaching center ..
6).Is there any govt or govt recognizable coaching center ?
7).Is there any honest single window counseling center , so that I can directly visit there and take information about my queries ?

The foremost thing to know is that there is no admission in 2nd year of BTech for diploma holder i.e. there is no lateral entry scheme exist in IITs or NITs . They do take applicants only in 1st year of Btech.
Hence do not try for this . Only try to get in a good college which will take you in 2nd year of BTech(lateral entry). After BTech you can think of becoming a part of IITs or NITs in MTech .

There is no lateral entry in IITs or NITs however you can answer the IIT JEE and AIEEE but you wont be getting 2nd year admission.

Answering your queries in order

1) You will have to answer few entrance tests like LEET,Manipal etc after which you clear the test you will get direct admission to 2nd year
2)Entrance tests like LEET,Manipal,MHT CET,your state exams
3)Nopes sorry there is no such direct admission to 2nd year
4)Just prepare your basics and little bit of ncert portion..you can download the syllabus of the exam
5)Coaching isnt necessary but if you need then you can take admission in local coaching institutes
6)not sure abt that

which allow the students to take admission directly in second year after their diploma.

& some other colleges also after IIT or NITs are:
Jadavpur University(WBJEE)
Anna university
DCE
Thapar university
Manipal
BIT,Meshra etc.

there is no such thing like lateral entry thing in iITs and NITS..
u need to take direct addmision in 1st year..
taking about choching if u r really good at ur fundamentals u donot need it..

No my friend there is no way to get BE/B.Tech. lateral entry admission in IIT or NIT. There is lonly lateral entry in B-tech is possible.

I m student of diploma last year. so in my knowledge iit-jee exam held in april,but my 6th semester complete in june... so i m illegible for this entrance test or not...

there is no lateral entry scheme in 2nd year in IIT and NIT.
till if you want to study in IIT or NIT then you have to clear their own entrance examination.

hello dear

you can't take admisson in IIT or NITs after Diploma.

through lateral entry test, diploma holders in Mechanical Engineering can't join in IITs.

as to join iits, students should have to appear in the the IIT-JEE EXAM.

and to join nits, students should have to appear in the the AIEEE- EXAM.

sir, i am continuing my B.sc with physics honours & want to doing M.sc in NIT college ,but i don't get information about the date's of applying application form for M.sc.
so can u kindly tell me during which months these application forms are out or in which date i have to apply the application form(NIT) for M.sc in online/offline?

there is no such lateral entry in iits for diploma.

yes,you can give iitjee for its undergraduate examinations.

otherwise,no lateral admission are possible.

as said by other members you can join nits and others.

i am very sorry to say that there is no any in the 2nd year of b tech degree in the iit's and the nit's through lateral entry ..........
but you can try in other private colleges like :
kiit orissa
and many other.......

nit collage in 1st year after diploma

Eligibility for IIT/AIEEE is that u can apply for these exams in two consecutive yra after 12th.

although im a diploma holder i like to take iit from thew first year ... i don't need lateral entry... i need seat for b.tech or b.e first year after diploma..
