CA (Chartered Accountant) examination is conducted by ICAI (The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The Chartered Accountancy course has three levels:

~~ First Level: CPT or CA Entrance ( Common Proficiency Test )
~~ Second Level: CA Intermediate / IPCC
~~ Third Level: CA Final

The aspirant can enroll for CPT test, after passing Class 10 examination. After passing the Intermediate examination, you are eligible to appear for CA CPT entrance test.

After 10+2 Examination, you can not register directly for Intermediate (Integrated Professional Competence) Course. If you want to register for IPC Course, then you have to complete your Graduation or Post graduation from commerce stream and having scored 55% marks.

For Non-Commerce background candidates, minimum 60% marks are compulsory to register for CA IPC.

Those who cracks CA IPC Entrance test are eligible for CA Final stage.

If you have only completed your intermediate examination, then you are only apply and register for the CA CPT Entrance test. If you want to appear in the second stage (CA IPCC) then complete your Graduation with minimum 55% marks.

CA Course has a wide scope in the specialized areas of Accounting, Auditing, Corporate Finance, Corporate Laws, Taxation. If you want to become a CA, then please apply for CA CPT entrance test after 12th or if you want to register for CA IPCC, then better to complete your graduation. To become C.A, you need to clear three level such as Common Proficiency Test (CPT) , IPCC and final level.

After qualifying 10+2 exam, you are not eligible for direct admission to second level i.e IPCC.

Only graduates in B.Com are eligible for direct entry to IPCC.

So, you have two options as follows

After 10+2 class, you can acquire B.Com and then directly apply for IPCC

Or

After 10+2 class, you are eligible to register for CPT.
