hello dear friends...
>>>as you are from electronics and communication branch so if you want to do job in core company then you have to must improve your technical knowledge as well as communication skill and other personality development. you have to know your main core subject like analog electronics, digital electronics, basic electronics, control system, microprocessor, analog and digital communication, VLSI etc. if you want to do job in telecommunication sector then you must study the subjects telecommunication, computer communication and networking, internet technology, mobile communication, microwave etc. some time electronics students prefer to do job in software field then you must know the C language and data structure. besides this you may do some courses on other language. but for all type of job you have to improve your communication skill. you must speak english fluently. you must have professional attitude. best of luck. |

First search the core companies, that take professionals from your stream.
Then you have to look for their recruitment procedure, time of annual recruitment. You may apply for off campus interview by visiting the company website and posting your resume at career page of the company website. But the thing is that, core companies at the time of interview will check for your depth of knowledge in the relevant field. So you have to acquire the depth knowledge of your subjects. |

Hello dear
see, core company generally the candidate, those are belongs to reputated institute. so if you are not doing engineering from reputed engineering institute, then it will be little bit difficult for you to get chance to do jobs in core company. but it will be very much easy for you to get a core job. if you can do M.Tech or MS fro reputed institute. like IITs or NITs. apart from that you can also do some self paid training also. which will help you to get a core job. so it is better to give GATE exam and do M.Tech after your degree engineering. all the best...... |

dear friend,
There are many companies that visit your college for campus placement and as you have a good CGPA you would be shortlisted for interview in most of them . I think Placement is not your problem!!! Your problem could be the Package that these company provide. In that case I would suggest you to get at least one job from campus interview for safety(Whatever package is offer). But in parallel you should apply off-campus to the companies of your interest. Also fill up the NTPC application form. As your CGPA is good you would be considered in off campus interviews. Just be confident. For applying off-campus visit the company website and get the HR contact details. Contact the HR office by a cover letter mentioning your purpose with resume. Once your application is considered you will be called for the interview. Good Luck many companies are below for your placement are. BHEL, SAIL, NTPC,BEL, ONGC, IOC, HINDALCO, etc are some of the core companies which have been given the status of Maharatna companies..
