Re: How to join IMA? I am a student of B.A 1st year
I appreciate your interest towards IMA (Indian Military Academy) to serve the country.
In order to be placed in IMA, you should have to crack the following selection procedure. CDS Exam Interview CDS stands for Combined Defence Services Exam. This Exam is being conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) twice a year to recruit the candidates into following defence services Indian Military Academy Indian Naval Academy Indian Air Force Academy Officers Training Academy The required academic qualification and age criteria will be different for each of these defence wings. Her is the eligibility criteria to apply for IMA. You should have completed your Graduation with any of the stream. You should be in the age group of 19-24 years. You should be a citizen of India. Candidates who are pursuing final year of Graduation also can apply for this Exam. As you are in the 1st year of BA course, you can apply for this Exam once you have done with the course. So I suggest you to carry out preparation for this exam for these 2 years. Better to join in a Coaching Institute to make your preparation too easy. Wish you all the best. |
