Good to see that your interested to apply for NDA ( National Defence Academy ) Examination . But being an 10th standard candidate your not eligible for NDA Examination .

The Applicant who have Completed 12th standard / Equivalent Examination only eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

So, Please Apply for 11th standard After Completing 10th standard .

Note :- Diploma/ 10th standard / 11th standard candidates are not eligible to apply for NDA Examination .

Any stream candidates are eligible to apply for NDA Examination. But to apply for Airforce / Navy academy Physics and Mathematics subjects require .

Commerce and Vocational Candidates are not eligible for Airforce and Navy Academy .

NDA stands for National Defence Academy . This Examination is Conducted by ( Union Public Service Commission ) . This Examination is held twice in a year .

To appear in NDA ( National Defence Academy ) Examination you need to satisfy the below eligibility Criteria ,

Eligibility Criteria require for NDA Examination :-

~~ You should be Complete 12th standard from recognized University / Institution .

~~ Pass Mark is enough to apply for this Examination .

~~ You age should be 16.5 years to 19 years .

~~ There is no relaxation will applicable for any category ( ie:- SC/ST , OBC ) candidates .

~~ You should be Unmarried male candidate .

~~ You should be Physically as well as medically fit for the NDA Examination

Note :- Female and Married Male candidates are not eligible for NDA Examination

So, to apply for NDA Examination you need to Complete 12th standard then Only your eligible to apply for NDA Examination

I am a diploma student and 17 year old.Am i applicable to nda?

you should pass 2 with pcm of commerce and then u are elidgible to give nda exam ans then ssb interview and last is medical.

National Defence Academy can be joined after 12th standard the entrance exam for which is conducted by UPSC twice every year as NDA-I and NDA-II for an entry in to Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian unmarried Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised Board within the age of 16.5 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

The selection is through written exam followed by personal Interview along with Physical Fitness and Medical Test.

So in order to apply for NDA you must first complete 12th standard.

NO, you cannot apply for the NDA exams.
Diploma students are not allowed.


Minimum eligibilty to apply for the NDA exams is:
12th pass for the Army wing
12th pass with Phy and Maths as subjects for the Airforce and Navy wing


Age- Minimum 16.5 years
Maximum 19 years

So, If you want to apply for the NDA exams than you ahve to apss the class 12th and your age also should be between 16.5 to 19 years .

Hai friend,

To join National Defence academy, the Eligibility Criteria is,

Nationality - Indian.

Age - 16.5 to 19 years.

Marital Status - Only Unmarried Male candidates.

Education Qualification:

For Indian Army - 12th Pass.

For Indian Navy & Indian Air Force - 12th Pass with physics and Maths subjects.

So to join NDA, you should complete your 12th with pass percentage.

Good Luck.

For NDA exam you need to be 10+2 passed and as you said you are 10th passed means you are not eligible for it at present.

Hence just take admission into 10+2 and start your NDA exam preparation and after completion for 10+2 you will be very well prepared for it.

If you want to get into Indian Air Force or Navy through NDA exam then you must opt for Physics and Maths.

Age Criteria for NDA:

Should be between 16.5 to 19 years and you must be an unmarried male Indian citizen.

Selection Procedure:

-Objective Type Paper

-SSB Interview

-Medical Examination
