Dear Sir/Madam,
I have done B.tech in Petroleum engineering in 2009. But, I didn't get any job so far. I attended entrance exams of major oil & gas PSU's like ONGC, GAIL etc but unable to crack it. Also, due to the effect of recession on job market, it was difficult to get placed in an organization. Please give suggestion to make a better career in oil & gas industry. Please suggest for higher studies, if any.

If you are not getting job after completing Btech in petroleum engineering & you are interested in higher studies then i would suggest you to do MBA. You can choose from among a no. of electives in MBA including mba in petroleum management to build you career.

You can also do Mtech in petroleum engineering but then again it will narrow your scope to oil & gas sector only. So, a MBA degree is more preferable as it will open up wide & diverse field for you.

I think you should join some correspondence MBA program .... then it may be easy for you to find job.

Hey, i think you should go for MBA (oil & gas). With a post graduation from a good university, you can certainly expect a bright career opportunities for yourself in future. In Oil and Gas sector if you want to grow up your career you should go for MBA degree.
Many university they gives opportunaty for distance MBA degree.By,which you can grow up yourself and then your Job security will be high.

you can join in your company as a Manager ,Assistant Manager etc post.By that you can grow Vertically as your company grow.
