I am a general candidate so I would like to know how many general quota seats to compete aipmt examination ? I request from the forum to provide a suitable answer to my question.

dear friend, there are approx 2500 seats available through AIPMT, but for MBBS course there are only 600-700 seats are available for general student.
kindly appear in this exam with full preparation, because a candidate can appear in this exam for three times only.

Seat distribution at AIPMT is such that

SC- 15%

ST- 7.5%

OBC- 27%

Physically handicap- 3%

So, rest of all seats are for General Candidates. One fact is also that even being a All India entrance AIPMT has 15% seats reserved for under all India Quota ofr MBBS and BDS.

the seats of aipmt are 1884.and the counselling is done till 4500 rank.there are 900 about seats for general

AIPMT is an all India entrance exam for MBBS.the seats allotments to different categories are:-
SC-15%
ST-7.5%
OBC-27%
Physically Challenged-3%
and the rest are for general candidates.so the competition is really very hard for general candidates.so my suggestion will be study hard to clear the exam.

Yeah its true..........!

Seats has been increased such that 100 seats will be raised on the existing capacity of the college.

Total 303 (including 37 government colleges across India) Colleges are recognised by MCI, so even if 100 will be allowed to increase 100 seats by each we will have 10,000 more seats.

In goverment colleges previous intake was 150 now after increasing it will be 250 seats for MBBS.

AIPMT is a common entrance exam for admission for MBBS/BDS course in india.
according to law some seat are reserved for following quota:--

15% seats for SC candidates
7.5% seats for ST candidates
27% seats for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Institutions only and 3% seats on horizontal basis for Physically Handicapped candidates are reserved in 15% All India Quota for MBBS/BDS courses.

All India Pre Medical Test and All India Pre Dental Test

Every year lacs of students take AIPMT and AIPDT entrance examination conducted by CBSE for admission to Medical and Dental colleges all over India.

The all India Pre Medical and Pre Dental seat consists of 15% of seats of institutes.

Thus 15% seats in Medical and Dental Colleges are filled through AIPMT & AIPDT Test.

Some of the important Information about AIPMT is given below.

Education Qualification : 10+2 or equivalent with 50% marks for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC & 45% for General PH in Physics, Chemistry and Biology and Candidate must have passed individually in qualifying exam in each subject.

No. of Attempts : 03 (Three)

7.5% of total seats are available for ST candidates
27% of total seats are available for OBC candidates
15%seats are reserved for SC and 3% are for Physically challenged guys and girls.and remaining means 47.5% are for general candidates

how many applications received for aipmt mbbs entrance exam-2011

(i) the rest of seats after the following reservations are for are reserved for general candidates:

(ii)15% seats are reserved for SC candidates,
(iii) 7.5% seats are reserved for ST candidates,
(iv) 27% seats are reserved for non-creamy layer OBC candidates in Central Educational Institutions only as per Honrable Supreme Court order dated 10.04.2008.
(iv) 3% seats are reserved on horizantal basis for PH candidates. The reservation will be made as per 2200 point reservation roster.The mode of implementation of reservation will be available on DGHS website-www.mohfw.nic.in.
NOTE:

(a)The Pre-medical course may be conducted either at a Medical College or at a Science College.
(b)After the 10+2 course is introduced the integrated courses be abolished.
(c)Marks obtained in Mathematics are not to be considered for admission to M.B.B.S. Course.
(d)No State eligibility criteria will be applicable to the students who take admission under 15% All India Quota Scheme.
