50% seats are reserved for state students that is called as HOME STATE QUOTA:-HS

and 50% are reserved for all india students that is called as ALL INDIA RANK :- AIR

NO OF SEATS IN NIT'S ARE:13,248......

LAST YEAR CUT-OFF IS:224 FOR AN OC CATEGORY PERSON TO STUDY IN ANY NIT'S

THERE ARE 28000 SEATS FOR ENGINEERING ALL OVER INDIA AND 1000 SEATS FOR ARCHITECTURE ALL OVER INDIA.

AIEEE

AIEEE is a all india engineering entrance exam conducted by c.b.s.e for admission in B.TECH ,B.E , B.PLANNING/ B. ARCH courses in different colleges.

the seats are incerasing from the last years.

> many colleges get the AICT approval in the current year and hence the number to seats increases.

2012 - Approx 40,000

2011 - 35,381

2010 - 27,752

2009 - 24,535

TOTAL NO. OF SEATS FOR NITS

1. new nits - 930 seats

2. old nits - 14,555 seats

> therefore around 15,435 seats are for NITS

> 2 % of the seats are reserved for the physical disabled persons ( 800 seats )

> so total numbers of seats for general candidates in 2012 was around 39,200

I have got 40 marks in aieee from sc category.kya mera slection ho gaya hai?

I got 58 marks in aieee from obc category . air is 273769, air category is 77875, state rank (puducherry) is 204, state category is 135. can I get NIT puducherry or any other NITs?
