there are 200 seats are available in PSU exas pursuing be. degree in mechanical engineering..so you can apply for this.

dear friend
in psu quota is so fulled so you can other option for you is that join aieee entrance exam 2011.the application form will be declared month of december. more detail as www.aieee.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in

only a graduation degree with pass marks in criteria.
reservation is ex-army personal under sports quota otherwise nothing

PSU - Public Sector Union


There are more than 277 PSU's in India out of which I am listing down some:

NTPC
NHPC
GAIL
BHEL
ISRO
SAIL
BSNL
MTNL
etc

Now these 277 organizations have their own selection criteria's.
Majorly the common criteria's are :

1 You are to be a graduate in engineering or the final year appearing students can also apply.

2. Your age should be within limit 21-30 years for GEN, 21-33 years for OBC, and 21-35 years for SC/ST categories.

Since there are 250 approx PSU's, so more than 1000 seats in total are available for recruitment.
