Those candidate have completed 12th standard with science back ground are eligible to admission in B-Tech degree course.But you 12th standard marks must be above 50% .

There is some age criteria, means your minimum age should be 17 years old.

This B-Tech course have 4 years course.If you are from lateral candidate then B-tech course duration is 3 years .

Now B-Tech course is divided in Semester wise.one semester contain 6 months means in a year you have two semester .

So total 8 semester in B-Tech course .

Dear,

B.tech is a complete professional course of four years. In first year you will learn basics about all the fields of engineering. From second year you will study about the branch you have opted for. Third year will be a bit higher level than second year. Fourth and final year is your year of specialization which involves projects, placements and many other things. After going through all these process you become an engineer. But to be a good engineer your journey will start after your B.tech.

Whole B.tech is divided in 8 semesters with each year having two semesters such as:
1st year= 1st semester +2nd semester.
2nd year=3rd semester+ 4th semester.
3rd year= 5th semester +6th semester.
4th year= 7th semester +8th semester.

B.Tech is usually the short form of the very famous and demanded Bachelor's of Technology. This is a technological course which are taught to students on the basis of the stream that they take according to their wish and current demand in the market.

For your information, I must tell you that a B.Tech is a FULL TIME 4 years graduation course which can be done by ANY SCIENCE STUDENT who has studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in his/her Class Higher Secondary.

Now since its of 4 years, i.e 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th all of these have the curriculum divided into small courses and subjects. Now according to your question here is the following explanation :-

B.Tech = 4 years = 8 semesters ! So one year of B.Tech course has 2 semesters in it.
