You are completing graduation in B.Sc(CS), The minimum educational qualification for MCA(Master of Computer Applications) is graduation from any recognised university.

Eligibility criteria for MCA:

Candidate should be complete graduation from any recognised university with atleast of 50% marks.

Candidate must be a citizen of india.

Duration of course:

3 years 8 sems....

There are several entrance exams to join MCA.

NIMCET it is a national entrance test.

TANCET(Tamilnadu Common Entrance Test) it is an entrance test to select students in tamilnadu universty.

If you want to study in Anna university you need to write DEEE (Distance Education Entrance Exam).

MCA(Master of Computer Application) is a Post Graduation Degree course.It is a three years duration course.It will include total of 6 semester.During studying of this course you will learn various concepts that deals with the development and Implementation and System and Application Software.Your MCA Degree will be approved from the AICTE,thus you will be eligible to apply for GATE Exam.To get Admission in Anna University Tamil Nadu you will have to apply for TANCET(Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test).After getting pass in this exam,you will be able to take admission in MCA Course in Anna University.
To apply for this exam you will require to meet these Eligibility conditions :-

Educational qualification :-
~Your minimum educational qualification should be Bachelor degree pass out in computer science/Information technology/Computer application.

Marks :-
~General/OBC category should have a minimum of 55% in degree level.
~SC/ST category should have a minimum of 50% in degree level.

Age :-

Exam Pattern :-

• TANCET Entrance exam will include questions from 4 sections.
• Each section will include 25 questions.
• Total duration for this exam will be 2 hours.
• Total marks will be 200.

Exam Syllabus :-

• Analytical Reasoning.
• Computer Awareness.
• General Awareness.
• English Grammar.

There is No Laterla Entry Scheme for taking admission in this course.If you will get pass in this exam,then only you will be able to take admission in this course in Anna University.Total number of seats for this course is 60 in Anna University.

MCA - Master of Computer Application is a Post Graduation Degree course with a duration of 3 years and can be pursed after Graduation in any stream with Mathematics as subject of studies in 12th level.

The eligible candidate must be an Indian National having completed Graduation in any stream with 55% marks(50% marks for SC/ST candidate) from a recognised University, can apply for MCA through entrance exam.
