If you are going to join 11th class in general colleges, there is no minimum percentage of marks in 10th class required for the candidate.

If you want to join in reputed Institutions, then there should be some academic criteria required for the candidate.

So, you are eligible to join 11th class as you have completed 10th class.

Soon after the completion of 10th class, there will not be any 11th class and 12th class like that. But, there should be Intermediate which is otherwise called as 10+2, or 12th class etc.

The number of subjects and the list of subjects will be similar to the candidates in 10th class of a particular board. But, In contrast to this, you need to join in any one of the streams in 12th class out of the streams available.

Here are some of the popular streams for 10+2,
-MPC
-Bi.P.C
-CEC
-MEC
-HEC etc.

You can also opt for Vocational courses like
-MLT
-TTC
-Nursing
-Computer Science etc.

You can also join Diploma courses by cracking Polytechnic Exam.

You might be having interest in some of the subjects in your 10th class. I suggest you to opt for stream in the 12th class in which the subjects which you are interested are available.

Try to gain good subject knowledge and make a career plan of yourself of what you are going to be in the future and go accordingly.

if u have done ur 10th with any persentage then there is no need for excellent persentage for addmission in 10+1 in a general school
you can take addmission in any private school
there r some schools which will offer 10+1 on the basis of entrance exam if u qualified the exam then u will be able to get addmission in good schools
the tests r generally based upon 10th level

there is no minimum percentage criteria for admission in +1. Actually it depends on the cut-off percentage of that particular institute and the course you choose.
If you take science stream cut off percentage should around 80 to 85 %
and a little below this for commerce
and if you take arts it can be anything around 50%
and you can get notification of all types job at

It depends upon your choice that in which stream you have an interest and in which field do you want to take an admission in 11th class.

There are three streams in the 11th class that are:
1.Science(Medical/Non-Medical).
2.Arts
3.Commerce

You can take an admission and join any of the stream in 11th class but you have to prove yourself that how much you have score in 10th class.

If you are good in science and maths then you can go for Non-medical and if you are interested in biology then you can go for Medical stream.

If you are not interested in maths as well as in science then you can choose any one from commerce or from arts.

first of all congratulations of 8.4CGPA an if u want commerce... it is much above than required % and it is enough to opt commerce

Friend this no requirement of minimum marks in 10th class for taking admission in 11th class you just have to pass (i,e; secure 33% marks) in all of your subjects.

Also ,I would like to advice you that no marks requirement does not means that you can take your 10th class casually because the studies of class 11th and 12th are based on class 9th and 10th respectively .So you should be serious about your secondary education and higher education from at most 9th or 10th class .
