There are various Universities and Institutes which offers Bachelors Degree program in Engineering, also referred as B.E. or B.Tech program and the Fee structure of every University and Institute vary from each other. The duration of the program is four years [8 semesters].

Following is the Fee structure of B.E. program offered through Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi from Session 2012-13:

Tuition Fee:
- Rs. 50,000 [1st and 2nd semester]
- Rs. 55,000 [3rd and 4th semester]
- Rs. 60,500 [5th and 6th semester]
- Rs. 66,500 [7th and 8th semester]

Registration Fee:
- Rs.5,000

Institute Exam, Library & other student facilities Fees:
- Rs. 11,500 [1st and 2nd semester]
- Rs. 12,000 [3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th semester]
- Rs. 15,000 [8th semester]

Hostel Fee:
- Rs. 11,500 [1st and 2nd semester]
- Rs. 12,000 [3rd and 4th semester]
- Rs. 13,000 [5th and 6th semester]
- Rs. 14,000 [7th and 8th semester]

Admission Fee [One time only]:
- Rs. 10,000

Caution Money [One time only-Refundable]:
- Rs. 10,000
