First of all I wish you all the best for AIIMS medical Entrance Examination which is held in month of june every year.
the pattern of the paper is as follows-
1-physics (total 60 questions with 20 questions of assertion and reason type)
2-chemistry (as above)
3-biology (as above)
4-20 questions from general awareness
each correct answer awarded one marks and wrong one one third in negative.
avoid to give wrong answers.
useful books for Physics-H.C.Verma ,NCERT 11 and 12 standard books Sanjeev Gupta.
For Chemistry -O.P.Tondon ,NCERT 11 and 12 standard Books.
For Biology-M.P.Kaushik,R.K.Pillai,Dinesh Guide,NCERT 11 and 12 standard books.

for preparation of AIIMS you should be connected to biology background
after 12 this exam can be given in various states.

and for the preparation of AIIMS you should refer one of the best coaching institute like SRI CHAITANYA, even some local coaching class are also good but not to the best..

all coaching class are waste if the person is not interested so the person is very much eager to give any medical entrance exam and in this field.

and it needs dedication, determination and hard work to crack this AIIMS
because it is very hard and the question paper contains very deep questions .

you have to work very hard if you are firmly decide to get selected in the aiims entrance test and AIIMS is the prestigious institutes in medical field, nationally and internationally too. There is much significance for post graduate course in this college. Almost one lakh students appear for this entrance test. Of the total seats, 37 are categorized for general students, 16 each for SC, ST and 19 for OBC students. That means success rate is 0.0007. One can know the test level by this statistics.



Duration of the test is 3 hr 30 min. Total number of questions is 200. Along with multiple choice questions, there will be assertion reason type questions. Out of total questions, 60 will be from physics, 60 from chemistry, 60 from biology and 20 from general knowledge. Each correct answer will be awarded one mark and for each wrong answer 1/3rd mark is deducted.


you should also have to join the crash courses for the aiims which will help you for your entrance test.........

AIIMS is the most reputed mbbs college in india, stakes are very high with 182 seats(current update 2010)
and arround 3 lakh students to be the chosen ones, i would suggest to take admission in some good coaching like akash,allen etc. and work hard religiosly without losing focus, they provide just the right material so that you dont have to worry, and also some best teachers.

hi!

AIIMS paper is full of concepts,if you have them clear,you can crack virtually any question. So your aim in the first reading should be to:
(i)get familiar with the subject
(ii)Improve your concepts

If you get stuck somewhere,ask somebody & try to remove the doubt. Once you understood the concept revise the subject using any standard book. If you feel that you don't have enough time left for revision then,start revising paper wise and not subject wise.

You can also start maintaining a diary containing "only" those points which are:high yielding & you tend to forget frequently.

Solving previous years papers as well as sample papers is also a good idea.

I would suggest you take coaching and study material of professional coachings such as akash, allen etc. they cover the whole syllabus really well, you dont have to look beyond

Read all Physics,Chemistry,Biology books.There are some classes like-Brilliant tutorials,P.Jog classes in Pune.You can join some good class.Discuss with friends,teachers

Sir i have completed nearly 80% of syllabus and i am going to appear in 2012 aiims mbbs exam..the problem is i have a very weak gk and i dont want to study it .if i can manage to score 170 in the three subjects.is it enough,can i go through by skipping gk.
