What are the portions for B.Des entrance exam in NIFT ? What is to be prepared? I am doing my 12th std , when I have to start preparing for the NIFT exam ? Where can I get the books? Is there any center for preparing for this entrance exam ? Please do reply . . . . .

There is nothing to worry join a good coaching for it,they will guide you in a proper way,they will teach you how to crack the entrance,they will also provide you the complete study material for it.

U can join any good institute for the entrance exam of it, They will clear all ur doubts which u have in my mind starting from the concepts.

The entrance exam is very general. general ability, maths (till std 10th) , grammer, logic, and creative activity are tested. you need to be a decent sketcher to communicate ones designs, that is it.

The application forms are available till 5th of jan, 2010 and the last for submission will be till 9th of jan, 2010. The written exam will on be 21st of feb, 2010. Since you are in 12th std just concentrate on studies first and possibly attend some coaching for nift who will lead to get good scores so dont worry try to look at the previous year papers which will fetch you in this short term of preparation. Do well.

thank u 4 ur reply .Im in trichy . but thereby starts my school and tuition exams . nift has announced the entrance exam on feb 21st . How could I appear the exam cause Im having public practical exams by that week.

you can start preparing from now only.......it will not affect your practical exams as you have been learning them from the beginning of the year..........you can prepare for your practicals in three days .....but not nift exam......it is about your career .....so consult a coaching class for proper time management.......

the examination question are simple based on general awareness and logic

hey dont get so tensed about the exam....you just study well for it.....get some sample papers and some last year question papers and solve them, this will help you very much to increase your speed of answering the question and many more things.....

hi..am from bangalore..am doing my 12th..i have my exams in march..i just got to know that the application forms for NIFT are sent out by nov end and jan beginning..hence i havent collected the form..kindly suggest as to what to do?

R.S. Aggrawal books are good for preparation... you can start with them in addition enroll with some good coaching centre... there are lots of online sample papers available for practice.

Which book shouild I follow for nift entrance exam

B.Des(Bachelor degree in Designing) is a 3 year's bachelor course.It will include six semesters.In order to apply for this course for taking admission in National Institute of Fashion Technology,you will required to meet these Eligibility conditions :

Educational qualification :

• Your minimum educational qualification should be 10+2 pass out with any discipline from recognized state/central board/university.
• English should be your compulsory paper in 10+2 level.

Marks required :

• Minimum marks required by the General/OBC category candidates is 60% in 10+2.
• Minimum marks required by the SC/ST category candidates is 50% in 10+2.

Age :

• Candidates whose age is above 25 years will not be eligible to apply for this entrance test for taking admission in this course.

Entrance test Overview

1. This test will include three phases.
2. These are :- GAT & Situation Test.

Syllabus for General Ability test (GAT)

• Quantitative Ability.
• Communication Ability.
• English Comprehension.
• Analytical Ability.
• General Knowledge and Current Affairs.

Syllabus for Situation Test

• Use Different styles colors in different ways.
• Illustration Skills.

I had passed my 12th and drop one year and finally decide to crack nift ..BT it is Nov...so I think it is too late ...soo plzzz suggest me can I crack nift from now without coaching if yes then plzzz tell me the name of best book for preparing it...
