To become a District Collector, you have to appear and qualify in Civil Service examination conducted by UPSC.

The eligibility to appear in the examination is that candidate must have passed bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognised university.

So, there is no need to have completed bachelor or std 12th in any particular stream.

Marks in std 12th or bachelor degree does not matter more to qualify in the examination. The salary ranges between 90,000 - 1,05,000 with the posting venue. There are many perks and facilities available to District Collector for the detail information about the examination visit at www.upsc.gov.in.
