hi, i am instrumentation engineer doing final year... i want some instructions about How to prepare to GATE exam? and send if you have any materials..

please avoid last minute preparations,,,,,,,, try to recall important points daily and make a key.. it will help you to revise a day before...... start revising atleast 1 month before the exam ..... all the best

hii, my suggestion is that first just be clear with your all basics regarding your branch subject,then study in details ,i think you have the names of subject which is going to ask in exams ,see you gate booklet it is mention in that,so study that subject sincerely.ok

if you are a final year student than you have already read all syllabus in your 1st,2nd,3rd year because gate exam include engineering syllabus. so in my opinion,your concept is already cleared.now you want to read important topic that has more weightage.and also make a key list for revision.than you will get success. best of luck...@@ |

U first be thorough with basics.ie, u must be clear with what all u studied from 2nd-6th semester... Buy GATE books... For eg:G.K.Publishers....

Have a deep and a thorough knowledge of whatever you study. Using your syllabus start preparing for the subjects and try to make a note of the things so that it could be helpful for you during the last minute.

sorry for such a late reply,,,,,,,,,,,,, for instrumentation gate 2010 by bansal publication is best so prefer this book it has got tricks and few year papers too........practice well for general aptitude as this will be key factor for rank allocation this year

it is very good for students should concentrate on his study from 2nd year ,because mostly syllabus of gate cover by 2nd & 3rd year syllabus.and you can also try individual books for every subjects of good author..and you can also join correspondence courses ..which is started every year by many organisation like gate forum etc.

gate exam is not very easy but it also not a simple one. if you want to clear it have have to very hard work, make sure that all the important concepts are clear to you and try to solve as many previous and model papers available on net.

Collect ur syllabus... 1st time cover all topics in ur syllabus. During ur 2 nd revision, go through only ur favourite,easiest,known topics..... Instead of studying everything and attemoted, it will lead to more negative marks...

there is very few time left with the exam so you just relax and stop mugging up the answers....try to solve as many as possible question papers you can solve it will help you to know your capability and the time you need for answering the question during the exam....

you first see sylabus and read your basic subjects ..
see GATE FORUM study material is too good also you see brilliant materials .. take admission in some mock test..and crash course... also read english and maths... this is not easy exam in 2010 only 65 questions are asked but in 3 hours stdents are not able to give 50% anshwer so here questions have some level.... good luck... |

just go through the whole syllabus of your b.tech throughly. it will help to score good marks. in gate exam generally all the question are asked from the b.tech syllabus. just fix the time of your own preparation and prepare for it. all the best. |

hey for a good preparation for exam you have to work very hard........you should download some previous year question papers and some sample papers so that you can get an rough idea about the question paper patter and you will be able to manage your time accordingly......

hi. if u want to qualify GATE with above 97%, then u should start preparation from now onwards, get ur fundamentals right. and since u r CSE you face a tough competition. so work hard and join any coaching institute before attempting, and crack the gate. and dont worry about b.tech, if u work hard on GATE, then ur b.tech automatically get cleared. but see that u have b.tech average is above 65%.

Yes every work can be done with full preparation, as you are a student of final year then you have to clear all basics of your subjects, then you can help from many coching's study material like GATE forum,Brilliant tutorial,Bansal classes etc. & i'll sure you will be crack GATE exam with good percentile.
