How to prepare for GATE(M.TECH entrance exam)exam?.I mean on which concepts we have to concentrate for getting seat in IIT's i.e.,above 90%.How we have to schedule a day for geeting good marks?How much time we need to spend per day?

dear friend,
for gate, the basic requirement is to be technically strong. you should be thorough with all the basic concepts pertaining your subject and field, to have an easy way out in gate.
well, if you want to score above 90 and enter IIT, then you need to be able to have a very good time management too in addition to being technically sound.
so, apart from your college preparation or study time, you will have to devote some time, say an hour to one and half hour, everyday, exclusively for gate. first, get the gate book for you b.e stream. start preparing the objective type questions first.
then as you are able to feel confident in objective type, then go for the comprehension type of questions, wherein, understanding the question, analyzing it and then judging the correct answer is very important and that too in a very limited time.
so you see that only practice can help you out. during holidays, dedicate around 4 to 5 hours.
also practice as many practice papers as possible and try out the previous year papers in the later stage.

Just try to sovle GATE previous exams papers daily. Because these question papers will gives you the a fair idea of the pattern of the test and standard of the questions for GATE exams and also helps to gain confidence, so that you will perform well in the exam.

If you find difficulties, while you perform in home, then please join some good coaching centre for the good perperation of this entrance exams.

Please keep practice for this exams in advance, only then you will get sucess in this exams.

you would have specify your branch,on the basis of we can tell you on which

subject you have to concentrate more.

for example :-

if a person is from ECE branch in graduation level.

he must prepare thoroughly on control system, signal and system, and

digital communication.

now..how you can manage your self with time and studies.
moring time.
1.wake up at 7 am, must have full sleep everyday

2.atleast give 3 hrs of study before lunch

3.then go for another topic make important notes of that

follow till late night,

suggestions:-

1.try to study logic subjects at midnight.
2.make a time table and you must follow that.
3.if not possible to study with you own go for coaching. if you want to enter in one the IIT's

If your a GATE aspirant then you must have grip of the core subjects,suppose your a EEE student then you must have good knowledge about electrical machines,power systems,EMF,circuit analysis.

So you must have a grip over your core subjects from the first year of B.E itself.

Refer books of authors like R.K Bansal,Rajput,Katson publications,Pearson publications,Modi & Seth,B.L Thereja,William Haith,Boylstead..etc.

You can create your own time table for self-study i.e wake around 5am in the morning and start preparing by giving sufficient breaks.

Try to solve last year question papers and prepare for the subjects from which more questions has been asked. Understand the concepts and then solve the logical questions.
Always attempt those questions first which require less time and you are sure about there answers.

hard working in a smarter way is reuired to get a good percentile in GATE examination.
Most people think GATE is too tough to get cutoff marks ,but beleive me if u work on the areas in which u are good at then no need to worry,
basic tips to click GATE:-
1)go through the subjects in which u are confident.
2) no need to read/practise all the subjects i.e no need to coverup all the subjects that are under GATE syllabus.
3)focus on the basic fundamentals daily.
4)read and practise daily for the GATE examination for atleast 2 hrs,as it will help u a lot in preparing your GATe examination.
last thing u need to do is that

BE CONDFiDENT.

I’ll recommend following while preparing for your GATE exams people may differ as this is my personnel opinion :

1.Material Collection

* Syllabus
* All the relevant books based on the subject(Divide the books in two groups - (1) Fundamental and basic concepts (2) Problem oriented
* Some books helpful for pre-requisite knowledge on the subject
* Some good guide books for GATE
* Previous questions papers

2.Keep contact with some expert and GATE experienced persons.

3.Study - Syllabus and Previous questions papers.

4.Start from the first chapter.

* read at least 5 books, it will widen your knowledge(if necessary consult with the books for pre-requisite knowledge or with some expert)
* Note down the probable concepts(definitions, unit, dimension etc.)
* Note down necessary theories, formulae etc
* Solve problems as maximum as possible(from text books, Guide books etc)
* Think about various tricks in solving problems(if necessary, note it)
* Go for series of self tests based on this chapter(take other's help to conduct tests)
* Continue the self tests until getting a very good score...

5.Solve more and more problems, discover more and more new tricks…

6.Follow the same procedure for the rest chapters.

7.Finally, go for self tests based on whole syllabus(take other's help to conduct these tests).

8.and last but not the least work hard till end.......no one can stop you after that.

My friend , you want to do M.tech from IIT.. For that you have to score well in GATE..
And to do this you have to do lots of hard work.. you must be determine..
To do well in GATE exam you must have good technical knowledge..
You have to make your basic concept very clear..
SO study throughly.. make your base strong first..
Beside this you have to be well in solving aptitude questions..
For this you have to solve aptitude questions as quick as possible..

You can also solve previous year question papers of GATE.. Which will give you a basic idea about the exam pattern..
So, go for it.. work hard.. and try to crack the exam at the very first attempt..

can i make my preperation well while working in a company such as tcs.i have to join tcs in last of this december.i have covered the syllabus from the material provided by made easy.i did not read too much from standard books.will it be sufficient for gate?what should i do to crack gate in these circumstances?i know that i will not get sufficient time in tcs for preparing gate.how wshould i make my strategy?please suggest me....
