How to prepare for UGC NET exam? I am doing MSc in computer science


how to prepare for the ugc-NET exams and i am doing Msc in Computer Science so plz suggest me some buks and question papers

You are eligible for UGC NET after completion of your M.Sc (Computer Science).

UGC NET Preparation Tips
- Know well Exam Syllabus and Exam Pattern.
- Refer good books which may help you to clear the concepts easily and covering whole syllabus.
- Time Management is also very important. Start to prepare earlier. Study at least 4 to 5 years daily.
- Take a one by one topic from syllabus. Prepare notes of important points which helps you for quick revision. If any doubt in topic, Solve it with the help of your teacher or friend.
- Solve previous asked questions after completion of each topic.
- Practice more & more which will boost your confidence level.

- Discrete Structure by Seymour Lipschatz
- Introduction to Automata Theory, Language and Computational by John.E Hopcroft, Rajeev Motwani, Jeffrey
- The C Programming Language by Dennis M.Ritchie
- Data Structure Using C by Tenenbaum, Langsan & Augestein
- Software Engineering by Roger Pressman
- Operating Systems by Sliberschatz, Galvin, Gagne
- Computer Networking by Andrew S.Tenenbaum
- Database Communication and Networking by Forouzan

Eligibility For UGC NET
- Applicants must have passed master's degree with at least 55% from a recognized university. Relaxation applicable of 5% for reserved categories and Ph.D holder candidates.
- Age Limit : 28 years for JRF and No age limit for Lecturership.

UGC NET Exam Pattern

Paper I (General Aptitude)
- Total 60 questions out of 50 questions to be attempted.
- Total Marks : 100
- Exam Duration : 75 Minutes

Paper II
- Total 50 Questions (All are compulsory) asked from a concerned subject.
- Total Marks : 100
- Exam Duration : 75 Minutes

Paper III
- Total 75 Questions (All are compulsory) asked from a concerned subject.
- Total Marks : 150
- Exam Duration : 2.5 Hours
