How should I prepare for bank PO?
i dnt hav time to take coachng for bank po exam so plz giv me some tips to prepare for exam at hme.. plz rtell me about exam pattern and refr me good books..

To prepare for bank PO examination, you are required to cover the following sections:
• Verbal and Non- Verbal Reasoning • Quantitative Aptitude • Data Interpretation and Numerical Reasoning • General English • General Awareness/ Current Affairs • Computer knowledge The PO examination is conducted twice a year and that of specialist Officer once a year. The books you can consult are: a) Pratiyogita Darpan monthly magazine for General Knowledge. b) Objective English by Hari Mohan Prasad, High School English Grammar by Wren & Martin, Word Power made easy by Norman Lewis, Descriptive English by S.P. Bakshi – for General English. c) Analytical reasoning by M.K Pandey, Non – Verbal reasoning by Prabhat-Javed – for reasoning. d) Quicker Maths (magical book series), Data interpretation by Arun Sharma – for Data Interpretation e) Apart from that, you can consult SBI PO previous years solved papers Exam Pattern: Phase 1 (objective and descriptive ) – Objective test carries 200 marks and is of 2 hours duration. All the 4 sections are of 50 marks . Descriptive marks is of 1 hour duration and carries 50 marks. Phase 2(Group discussion and Interview) - only for the students who qualify for both the above tests. |
