sir i am pune university student & my B.E. aggregate is 57% then iwant admission in iit&nit for M.Tech. if igot good marks in GATE?

You have to clear the IIT JAM entrance test for seeking admission in any M.SC, MCA programme in IITs. The questions in IIT-JAM will be degree level and therefore, you will have objective and descriptive questions. Keep your concepts clear thoroughly and study 1-2 reference books for each subject. You need to score atleast 55 per cent aggregate marks in all subjects in graduation incase of General/OBC category candidates. (Two Year) / M. Sc.-Ph. D. Dual Degree. There are post graduate level courses like M.Tech in Aerospace, Microelectronics & VLSI, Chemical, Computer Science and Engineering, Power Electronics & Power System, Mechanical, Civil, Electronic System, Communication & Signal Processing, Energy Science Engineering. M.Tech in Biochemical & Biotechnology Engineering, Process Engineering & Design, Computer Application in Chemical Engineering, Information and Communication Technology courses are also offered.
Candidates from general category should have scored minimum 60 per cent, 55 per cent marks incase of SC/ST in B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engg.)/ M.Sc. /M.CA / MBBS / M.Pharm/ B.Pharm (4 yr.Degree)/ BDS (4 yr. Degree)/ Associate Membership Examinations. The degree should be recognized by Institution of Engineers, Institute of Chemical Engineers, Aeronautical Society of India, Institute of Electronics & Telecommunication Engineers, Indian Institute of Metals.

The Graduate Admission Test in Engineering (GATE) is defined as an all-India level examination for students who wish to pursue Masters/Direct PhD in India as well as abroad. GATE score matters a lot for those aspiring to seek admission in institutes like IIT, NIT, IISC. The GATE score is important for admissions to various post-graduate programs. For eligibility, candidate needs to hold Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Architecture (4 years after 10+2/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma). Even Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Computer Applications are eligible. Even candidates in the second or higher year of Four-year integrated Master’s degree programs in Engineering/ Technology is also eligible. Candidates who have obtained score in examinations conducted by UPSC/AICTE can also write GATE exam.
