I have just given my 12th boards. I am not quite confident whether I can score 80% in PCM as required in BITSAT. Can I give the entrnce exam for BITS still? Can I try the next year by giving my board exam again?

as your score is not 80% in 12 th board so cant sit for bits pilani exam.so dont be frustrate try for other colleges

Yes you can give BITS for sure. First you aim to crack it. Later if you get less in anyone of the subject then answer an improvement exam for that subject. Score well in it and join BITs

and Yes you can give it a try next year by giving boards again

no you are not elegible for bits,
to be eligible for bits you got to have 80% in inter 12th class,if you dont have then you are not eligible

yes you are still eligible for the exam........but if you are unable to score more than 80% marks in 12th board exam and cleared the bits exam then you will not be getting admission in bits...as you are not satisfying the eligibility criteria.

you can appear for the improvement exam next year and re appear for the bits exam.....

no you are not eligible for the exam and you can not give the exam,
more over there is an second preference to long term students so even if you write the improvement and write the exam ,you will be not able to get admission in bits

if you dont score 80% in 12th class then you will not be eligible for admission in bits ,they follow there rules very strictly,
it would not be an wise idea to waste one year to just get an seat in bits,
there are many other colleges in which you can get admission try for them

yes you are eligible for the exam..........but if you didnt score more than 80% in PCM in 12th then you will not get admission even of you have cleared the bits entrance exam.....

the eligibility of AIEEE is given below

1.12th with science with PCM combination.

2.minimum 80% marks in class 12th exam.

3.age limit 25 years.

so you can't appear in the bits exam.

The candidate must have aggregate of 80% marks in 12th class.
and with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

its a saying that little knowledge harms a lot, the same goes to you,

for BITSAT eligibility
you have to score overall 80% in 12th class
instead of 80% aggregate in PCM.

but you have be 60% in PCM.

Always think positive, you have not given all the exams of 12th, on preparing well you can get 80% in 12th.

Its sure that if you will get less than 80% in pcm, then you are not eligible for it, but you should apply for it. It will give you lot of experience.

if i have not scored 80% in pcm but if i come under top 50 rankers of the bitsat.So would it be possible for me to expect admission there?

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA for BITS:
For admission to any of the Integrated First Degree Programmes of BITS You should have passed the 12th class examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Further, you should have obtained a minimum of 80% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects in 12th class examination, at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects and adequate proficiency in English.

sorry friend... you are not eligible for BITS.
you can try for IIT or NIT. those are even better than BITS.

i have scored 93 percent in cbse.can i get admission under scheme of direct admission to board topper?

Information regarding BITSAT examination.

If you have not 80% aggregate marks in PCM then you are not eligible for the BITSAT. The candidate who are appearing in the 12th board examination is eligible to apply but if then candidates not takes the 80% aggregate marks in the PCM then they are not eligible for the admission in the BITSAT.

Dear aspirant,

This is to bring to your kind notice that to gain a direct admission in the prestigious BITS you have to be a board topper of your state or any one of the 25 states that are approved by the education ministry. There is no alternate way of getting direct admission in BITS.

The other way of gaining amission in BITS Pilani and the other branches of BITS is to give the entrance exam and clear it.
The name of the exam is BITSAT.
You must aim for around 280-300 marks minimum in that exam to ensure a seat in BITS as there is a tough competition and only about 1 in 64 students gets the chance of gaining admission in the prestigious BITS Pilani.
