IBPS conducts these exams -

Bank Clerk
Bank PO
Specialist Officer

The position of specialist officer is for different posts i.e. HR, Marketing, Law, IT, technical etc.

Basically there are four papers in the IBPS specialist officers exam -

1. Logical reasoning

2. Quantitative Aptitude

3. English Language

4. Professional Knowledge

All these papers contain 50 questions.

Syllabus for professional knowledge -

Networking

Database Management ( DBMS )

Network Security

Web Technologies

Programming Concepts ( Basics )

Basic Hardware ( Microprocessor, timer , ALU )
Most of the questions are asked from these topics only.

IT Officer Scale 1 and scale 2 syllabus

Test of Reasoning- 50 marks(50 question)
Test of English knowledge-25 marks(50 question)
Test of Quantitative Aptitude- 50 marks(50 question)
Test of professional knowledge-75 marks(50 question)

Reasoning:- It consists of verbal and non-verbal test comprising blood relation test, number series, problem solving,

figure problems, alpha-numeric relation test, syllogism, coded relationships, coded inequalities may be asked in the

examination.

Quantitative Aptitude:- It cover number system, number series, percentage, profit and loss, simple and compound

interest, time and distance, time and work, average, age calculation.

English Language:- This section cover Passage Test, Cloze Test, Rearrange either the sentences or the words, error

detection, Idioms and Phrases, fill in the blanks, spelling error, one word substitution, phrasal verbs.

IBPS Professional Knowledge syllabus for IT Officer scale 1 and scale 2:-

Professional knowledge is basically a paper on subject specialization. So you will be asked questions based on your

specialization subject. Some of the topics that covers on IBPS IT Officer Professional Knowledge is as follows. Topics

from Computer Science / IT/Electronics & Telecommunication, Operating Systems, Data Structure, Database Management

Systems, Mathematical Foundation of Computer Science, Language Processor, Computer Organisation, Computer

Hardware, Computer Networks, Theory of Computation, Materials and Components, Physical Electronics, Electron Devices,

Network Theory, Electromagnetic Theory, Electronic Measurements and Instrumentation, Power Electronics, Electronic

Analog Circuits, Digital Electronics Circuits, Control System, Communication Systems, Microwave Engineering, Computer

Education Qualification Required :-
-->>You should have a degree in Computer Science/Information Technology/Application/Electronics and Communication/Electronics and Instrumentation.

Age :-
-->>Your minimum age should be 20 years.
-->>Your age should not be above 35 years.

Age Relaxation Facility details :-

-->>For SC/ST Category - 5 years.
-->>For OBC Category - 3 years.
-->>For Persons with Disability - 10 years.
-->>Ex-Servicemen - 5 years.
