Re: If a Basic math student wants to become an Architect then which subject group he should choose?
°°° A candidate shall be admitted to Architecture course only if she has passed an examination at the end of the 10 + 2 scheme of examination with at least 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry and mathematics and also at least 50% marks in aggregate of the 10 + 2 Level Examination.
So, you have to opt for PCM stream and you can opt for Computer Science as an additional subject in class 11th and 12th. |

To become Architecture you have to complete BArch.
To be eligible for BArch course you must choose English, maths and science in intermediate. You must have complete intermediate/HS with minimum 50% marks. If you have Computer Science, Mathematics, Science and English as subject than also you are totally eligible to become Architecture. |

Previously only students with non medical background would opt for architecture.
However, now only maths is a pre requisite. You can be from a non med background or commerce or humanities but all you need is mathematics. There is an entrance exam called NATA (National aptitude test for architecture) which requires basic awareness of architecture and maths. Maths is the compulsory subject for appearing in NATA. |
