Sir/madam this is palash and im 21 yrs old 12th pass wants to join Indian defence services or indian army but i dont know the procedure so can u pls help me out regarding the same....

sorry to say,it is too late to join Indian defense service ,because your age cross the minimum level age ,age have to between 16 to 19.
NDA have three wings
1.Indian army - 12 pass with 55% from any stream
2.Indian navy - 12 pass with 60 % from PCM
3.Indian air force - 12 pass with 60 % from PCM

There are two central level common written exam through which a person can able to get jobs in Indian Defence services .

These are :-
-->>UPSC NDA.
-->>UPSC CDS.

Eligibility for NDA :-

Educational qualification :- Your subject stream in 10+2 should be Physics,Chemistry and Mathematics and you should be passed out.

Age :- Your minimum age should be 16 years and should not be above 19 years.

Eligibility for CDS :-

Educational qualification :-
-->>You should be Graduation pass out in science stream from recognized university.
-->>Your subject in science stream should be from Physics or Mathematics.

Age :-
-->>Your minimum age should be 18 years.
-->>Your upper age should not be above 24 years.

Thus as per your given Information,you can only appear in UPSC CDS Exam and it will be your first and last attempt.

However,you can check recruitment notices for jobs in Indian Army/Air-Force/Navy by visiting its Official website.

Other Exams in which you can appear for getting jobs in Indian Army are :-
-->>SSC CRPF.
-->>SSC ITBP.

Indian Defence Service can be joined through NDA and CDS generally after 12th and Graduation.

NDA - National Defence Academy conducted by UPSC twice every year to join Indian Army, Navy and Air Force wing of NDA.

The eligible candidate must be an unmarried Indian Male having either appear for the final 12th exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 16.55 to 19 years with good Physical and Mental Health.

CDS - Combined Defence Service conducted by UPSC twice evry year to join Indian Military Academy, Naval Academy, Air Force Academy and Officer's Training Academy.

The eligible candidatemust be an Unmarried Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream from a recognised University within the age of 19 to 25 years with good Physical and Mental Fitness.

Helo, let me tell you that you are not eligible as your age has crossed the upper limit.

But you can try for CDS!!

Dear friend sorry to say you are not eligible to join Indian Defence services through NDA exam after 12th pass because you have cross the minimum level age.

Your age should be 21 years old but the age limit is 16.5 years to 19 years for apply NDA exam.

NDA stands for National Defence Academy.

Candidate must have completed 10+2 exam of a recognized School or Board and studying in the final year of 12th examination may also eligible to apply for Army wings.

For Navy / Air force wings:-

Candidate must have completed 10+2 with PCM subjects from a recognized board.

There is no minimum marks required for NDA Examination .

Age limit:-

Age should be between 16.5 years to 19 years.

There is No age relaxation for reserved categories in this exam.

Only unmarried Male candidate are eligible to apply this exam.

Now,You can not apply for Indian Defence Service.

After higher secondary passed,candidate can apply for NDA exam.

Eligibility criteria for NDA exam :

Candidate must be Indian citizen.

Age is between 16.1/2 t0 19 years.

Candidate must have passed the higher secondary exam from recognized board.

According to you,your age is not match with NDA exam criteria.

So,after graduation you can apply for CDS exam.

CDS exam means Combined Defense Service exam.

CDS exam conduct by UPSC every year.

Eligibility criteria for CDS exam :

Candidate must be an Indian citizen.

Candidate must have passed Graduation degree from recognized university.

Age is between 19 to 24 years.

If you are interested in Defence service,then you take admission for Graduation,this is best for you.
