i am a girl doing mechanical engg (in 2nd year).. i wish to make my career in defence services(army, navy or airforce).. what i hav to do?

To join indian defence service there are various way for entris in defence such as 1.nda 2.as a cadet 3.cds exam after graduation, you are doing B.E so its good as a graduation and now you can prepearing for combine defence service exam(CDS) means UPSC exam which is held in 2 times per year for your knowledge you can visit www.upscexams.in

HI,
You can join Indian Army after completing your B.Tech course.
For this you have to qualify the Combine Defence Services(C.D.S).

C.D.S exam is conducted by U.P.S.C twice in a year.

Eligibility criteria:-
> Pass Graduation/B.Tech with recoginised univrsity
> Age limit:-19-24 year.
> Must be citize of India
> Medically fit

There are three steep of selection:-
> Written Exam
> Interview
> Medical exam

You want to join in defense after completion of B.tech in mechanical engineering.
Being a girl you want to join in defense , I must salute your decision..
Also it can be an inspiration for other technical girls..

As you are 2nd year now, then wright now you are not eligible to apply for defense.. For that you have to complete your B.tech course , after which you can appear in CDS exam..

Through CDS exam you can apply for SSC women non technical scheme ..

Eligibility for Officers training academy (SSC women non technical):-

1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in any trade.
2.Candidates age should be in between 19-24 years.
3.Candidate must be unmarried/divorced/widow female.
4.Candidate must be physically fit.

Eligibility for UES(University entry scheme):-
For technical branch:-
1.Candidate must have complete the graduation in engineering field with 60% aggregate.
2.Candidates age should be in between 18-28 year.
3.Candidate msut be physically fit.

These are eligibility criteria you need to fulfill..
