Eligibility to apply for ISS Examination:

To be eligible to apply for ISS examination, candidates must have completed their PG degree from a recognized university in statistics/mathematical statistics/applied statistics.

Syllabus for Statistics-I paper:

The Indian Statistical Service Examination is conducted for 1000 marks in total with six papers. The Paper of Statistics – I is conducted for 200 marks and the paper will have questions from the following subjects to be completed within a maximum duration of three hours:

1. Probability
2. Statistical methods
3. Numerical analysis

Sir, I want to give Indian statistical examination this year, and right now i am doing my Master of science with statistics and i'm in Semester 3 I want to know that m i eligible to give ISS exam in nov 2013..?? I have given Sem 2 examination in April '13 and awaiting for the results...
