please tell me which exam is the toughest in india?

i consider CAT to be the toughest exam of India,because the amount of syllabus it covers is just huge and the questions are not just simple to solve,you require lots of hard work and practice to clear it ,

in management field .....CAT is considered to be the toughest one........
in engineering....iit jee is considered to be the toughest one......
in civil services.....IAS is the toughest one......

its none other than

cat....... exam.

as i am an engg. student this is my opinion as of my knowledge!

cat exams are toughest in india...........but if score good marks u will get good college

form my point of view CAT,IAS,IES these are some exams come in category of tough exam,but no exam is tough if you have your preparation for it.

SCRA is the toughest exam in india IAS and other exams have much more possiblities to be qualified as requirement is high....

in science it is obviously jee and in commerce it is ca

i think IAS are toughest exams in INDIA, it's very hard to clear this exam as one need to be updated about every thing going around you, and to clear this exam and get good % of marks are toughest according to me.

In my view, iitjee, cat, ias and ca are considered to be the toughest exam in india but if you crack atleast any one of these exams then it is for sure to get good placements.

there is no tough exam untill we have very good command on the basics.....if we do study regularly and concentrate well......then there is no tough exam......the best reference will be that many people clear it and some one comes 1st rank also.........

I think the amount of latest updates going on in every part of world is the most toughest thing in ias exam because it's not easy to be aware about everything that is happening and already happened and going to happen, as only newspaper and tv news are not that much sufficient material for clearing theses exams

Hi, there are several exam which is hard but few of them are IAS<CDS<CAT<IIT<MAT
,its depend on the student that is that hard for them or easy for them.

after writing XAT i would say it is on par with cat

i wpold agree with maddusajj,this years xat paper was infact tougher than cat

i think even IES exam is not easy to clear it is on par with ias....

in india CAT is taken as the most difficult exam ,because an exam becomes tough because of the ratio of seat : student applied.

here for CAT this ratio is 1:250

another tough exam is IAS conducted by UPSC,which requires the candidate to have very good knowledge in around 10 subjects.

xat paper was tough but not as tough as cat,only the questions were bit different

there are three exams which are the toughest.....CAT,IIT AND IAS........

Then CAT & IIT-JEE stands second to it.

isi exam is the toughest exam in India is requires perfect strength in field of maths ....

every field has its own tough exam
but for me the exam in which the standard of questions are high , with negative marking and the number of seats available are less is the toughest exams.
because i am a nedical aspirant it has to be AIIMS with number of seats available upto 35 only all over india .
others are SCRA, IIIT JEE, CAT .

it is a tough question to answer may be in my openion IAS is the toughest exam in india and regarding interveiw SSB interveiw is the toughest in india as far as i know ... veiws may vary from person to person .... but one should give a try to both...

I think IIT-JEE exam is most toughest exam in india....
Because its course is so large and to crack it many practise and sharp skill mind........

according to my view
in management field cat is tough.
where as iit jee is tough in engineering field.

i think CAT is the most toughest exam in india .. hard preparation is needed to clear cat cutoff..

CAT is the india's toughest exam infact it is the world toughest exam....its very hard to clear it and get admission in any of the IIM a there cut off is 99.7% which is next to imposible for most of the children.

with regard to seats the toughest are in following decending order
1)INDIAN COST AND WORKS ACCOUNTS SERVICES....just 2 seats by UPSC
2)special class railway apprentice
3)actuary exam conducted by indian institute of actuaries....only math geek can pass
4)ICS , IFS,ISC, I ECO SERVICE BY UPSC
5)XLRI,FMS,ISB etc
6)CAT
7)AIIMS,JIPMER,BHU,AIPMT all central govt medical colleges
8)PROFESSIONAL EXAMS OF ICAI/ICWAI/ICSI
9)IITs
10)indian medical and indian engineering services examination

there are so many exams for each level you cant compare however some of them are iitjee,mba ias and many more

all the exams are tough, if you are not study properly then all exams are tough for you.

there are manny exams are tough in india like cat exams, iit-jee, and manny more. but i think cat is the toughest exams in india.

these are the toughest exams of india.

The most toughest exam in the world is civil service and above all is to get ias post . It is the ratio 1 : 2500 . Because around 250000 candidate apeear every year including iit drop out and to get a ias post you must come within 100 ranking.so just imagine how difficult it is...

after graduation the IAS can be considered the toughest
CAT is not far behind
similarly there are others like GATE,MAT,UPSC,IES etc

hi friend according to me the toughest exam in india are:
IAS , CAT, XAT, IIT-JEE ...........but to me the ISI exam is the toughest among all these.............if you are interested in statistics...
