Till now UPSC has not announced the expected schedule of Civil Services Examination 2013.
The schedule of CSE-2013 should be available on the UPSC official website (http://www.upsc.gov.in/) by the end of this year 2013. You should start preparing for the exam from now only according to present examination scheme and syllabus. If any changes are made in the examination scheme or syllabus, it will be notified through circulars in newspapers and the website. The present Civil Services Examination is conducted in two stages. The first stage is called Civil Services Preliminary Examination or Civil Services Aptitude Test. This questions in CSAT are asked from General studies (History, Geography, Politics, Economics and social development, General Science) English and Mathematical Aptitude etc. The second stage of Civil Services Examination comprises of Main Exam and Interview. If you qualify Preliminary exam then only you can appear Main exam and on the basis of Main exam score you could be called for Personal Interview. The final merit list is prepared by adding the score of Main Exam and Personal Interview. The Main examination has these papers. 1. Indian Language Qualifying Paper (300 marks) 2. English Qualifying Paper (300 marks) 3. General Essay type paper (200 marks) 4. General Studies (Paper-I & II 300 marks each) 5. Optional subject-I(Paper-I & II 300 marks each) 6. Optional subject-II(Paper-I&II 300 marks each) The subjects for optional papers are listed as under. You can choose any two subjects from the List-I but you must consider the instructions given below the List-I. LIST-I Agriculture Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science Anthropology Botany Chemistry Civil Engineering Commerce and Accountancy Economics Electrical Engineering Geography Geology History Law Management Mathematics Mechanical Engineering Medical Science Philosophy Physics Political Science and International Relations Psychology Public Administration Sociology Statistics Zoology INSTRUCTIONS Following combinations of two optional subjects are not permissible - Political Science & International Relations and Public Administration; - Commerce & Accountancy and Management; - Anthropology and Sociology; - Mathematics and Statistics; - Agriculture and Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science. - Management and Public Administration; - Any two engineering subjects - Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science and Medical Science. IAS exam stands indian administrative service which is conducted by upsc. You have to apply when the notification for UPSC Civil Service Exam notification made in Dec 2012 or Jan 2013. For this you will have to give UPSC civil service exam Eligibility Criteria For IAS Age limits - The candidate must have completed 21 years of age as on 1 july and should not be more than 30 years. Some relaxation will be given in the upper age limit for the SC/ST/OBC candidates. Educational Qualifications The candidate must have completed bachelor degree from a recognized university The examination is divided into 3 parts. Preliminary exam Main exam Interview Preliminary exam There will be two papers to test the aptitude for civil services and ethical and moral dimension of decision making. Both these papers are objective type. Each paper is of 200 marks and a time of 2 hours is allotted for each paper Main exam there are total 9 papers in Main exam. The first two are qualifying papers only they are not considered for ranking and in totaling The total marks for the other 7 papers is 2000 qualifying papers - One paper is one of the Indian languages. The candidate is given an option to choose from the he 18 languages included in the VIIIth Schedule to the Constitution. The second paper is of English. Both the paper will be of 300 marks and time allotted for each paper will be 2 hours. These two papers will contain questions upto 10th class standard. If you dont pass these exams then other papers will not be evaluated. Other papers Paper 3 will be an essay paper. It will be of 200 marks Paper 4 and 5 will be of general studies. Each paper will be of 300 marks each. Then you will have to select 2 optional subject out of these - Agriculture Management Animal Husbandry & Vetinary Science Mathematics Anthropology Mechanical Engineering Botany Medical Science Chemistry Philosophy Civil Engineering Physics Commerce & Accountancy Political Science & International Relations Economics Psychology Geography Sociology Geology Statistics Indian History Zoology there will be 2 papers of each Subject and each paper will be of 300 marks. The optional subject paper are of a total of 1200 marks. Interview After the main exam interview will be conducted of 300 marks then Rank will be given after totaling out of these 2300 marks and services will be given as per your rank. |

Sir!! In order to become a IAS(Indian administrative services) officer, you must have clear the CIVIL SERVICE EXAMINATION. IAS is one of the Indian Civil Service exam which is being carried out by UPSC and is held every year for the post of IAS officer. The exam selects candidates through: Preliminary exam Main exam Interview. It is a step by step process as the candidate must pass both preliminary and the main exam to appear for the interview. Details On IAS 2013 The recruitment for the candidates for Indian Administrative Services is done through the Civil Services Exam which is conducted every year by the UPSC.. IAS - Indian Administrative Service, to become an IAS officer one has to crack Civil Service Exam conducted by UPSC once every year.
The notification for 2013 Civil Service Exam has not yet been declared. The candidate aspiring for IAS Civil Service Exam, must be an Indian National having either appear for the final Graduation Degree exam or pass in any stream of education within the age of 21 to 30 years with upper age relaxation for reserved candidate. The Civil Service exam is conducted through two stages written exam followed by Personal Interview.
