please tell me what jobs are available for civil engineers?

in present world India is an heaven for civil engineers there are more jobs than number of engineers available in India

Civil Engineers can find job in Government departments, private and public sector industry and for present updates go through the employment news.

how to apply for jobs in civil engineering in government department and what are the qualification required?

The eligibility criteria depends upon the posts as well as requirement of the jobs.

Since you have completed your b.tech,there are lots of oppurtunity for you in government sector.

Indian engineering service (IES) :for it you have to crack the entrance exam followed by interview and medical fitness test.Entrance is conducted by upsc,every year.

Military engineering service (MES) :for it the diploma engineers can also apply.

civil engineers have great job in gulf countries than india...the most common jobs are site engineers, piping engineers, and senior engineers...so dont worry door is open for alll...

various jobs available for civil engineers like site engineer,design engineer,project manager,draughtman,structural engineer,geotechnical engineer,surveyor,architect,etc...your work is to select the job which will interest you more and work towards that, then you surely reach your destination and you should have knowledge in civil software's will add advantage.

by this month January we can expect the callfor from upsc IES examination.so that you need to keep on watching emploment news paper or visit upsc.gov.in.if it so they will conduct the exam around june-july.so that itis the perfect to start the preparation for IES.

alsowe can expect callfor from tnpsc on around april-may and the exam will be conducted on round july-august.

there are many recuitments for civil engineers in government,ublic and private sectors also . just go to employment newspaper.nad u can go for 1ES UPSC EXAM.

the scope for engineers have increased to a great extent. you can enter construction companies, educational institutions or you can also join with architects who will need civil engineers for estimation, design and execution. you can also join software companies if you wish to

NO,to become an engineer in government job you have to clear IES exam and not IAS?

why dont you try for any government company.
You didnt give any exam in all taht gov. company, you have good scope in all taht company.
If you cant give any exam then try in any orivate company.

CIVIL engineering comes under core branch.

this is an off field work section . in this line basically u have to design buildings,installation of industries ,power plants and many more.

it is an ever green branch with huge demand in india and also in abroad.

u can apply in GOVT. jobs in civil sector .

Construction companies like TCL,DFL,JAIPYEE GROUP are recruiting many civil engineers.

as we all know that our infrastructure is very poor.

so GOVT. is try to build proper official buildings, fly over bridges, river dams for hydel power plants. so there is a huge scope in this sector in future.
