There are three types of entry in Indian Army for B.Tech. holders.

1. University Entry Scheme (UES)

One can apply for job in Indian Army through UES during third year (pre-final year)
of B.Tech. The notification for this, is published during MAY month (generally) every year.
The notifications are published in Employment News and National dailies.
Also, it is notified on http://joinindianarmy.nic.in/

2. TGC (Engineers)

You can apply for this job during final year of B.Tech. or after completion of B.Tech.
The notification for this job is generally published twice a year; one in April and other in October.
The notifications are published in Employment News and National dailies.
Also, it is notified on http://joinindianarmy.nic.in/

3. Short Service Commission (TECHNICAL)

You can apply for this job during final year of B.Tech. or after completion of B.Tech.
The notification for this job is generally published twice a year; one in December
and other in June.
The notifications are published in Employment News and National dailies.

4. Combined Defense Services

The CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year.
You can apply for this job during final year of B.Tech. or after completion of B.Tech.

You did not mention the stream in which you have completed your B.Tech.Any ways you want the government opportunities after your B.Tech.You are eligible for many jobs through examinations.

The examinations conducted by UPSC(Union Public service Commission)
>Civil Services(For IAS,IPS,IFS etc...)
2.IES(Indian engineering services)
3.CBI officer,CID officer
4.Income tax,excise officer

Apart from this you can go for the options like:

BSNL JTO
ISRO
HAL
NALCO
IOC
DRDO
DRDL
JTO
SBI
ICICI
BAARC
SAIL
BHEL
Indian Oil
etc...

You can also attempt for the CWE held by IBPS(Institute for Personnel Banking Selection) for the post of Probationary Officers of 19 public sector banks.
