Karnataka State Open University is approved by UGC and DEC .You now student of KSOU .So dont worry KSOU Degree is now recognized .

Karnataka State Open University is not approved by AICTE.

Yes, KSOU B.Tech course is approved by UGC.


KSOU university is approved by UGC(University Grants Commission) and DEC(Distance Education Council).


But, this university is not approved by AICTE(All India Council for Technical Education).

The KSOU is recognized by the UGC [University Grants Commission].

But their is no relation in between B.Tech Course as well as the UGC. This is because to offer Technical Degree Courses, universities/colleges need approval from the AICTE [All India Council for Technical Education].

And for your sake , i just want to inform you that the KSOU is not approved by the AICTE.
