Common Proficiency Test (CPT)

Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level test for the CA course.

Eligibility

Students who have passed their 10 + 2 can enroll for the Common Proficiency Test (CPT). Registrations for CPT are open all year round. The exam is conducted twice a year in May and November. Students have to ensure that they register at least 10 months before the examination.

Test Pattern and Subjects

It tests students on four subjects— Fundamentals of Accounting, Mercantile Laws, General Economics and Quantitative Aptitude. This test is of 200 marks. This test is divided into two sessions of two hours each with a break in between. CPT is an objective type test with negative marking.

SESSION I (Two sections, two hours, 100 marks)

Section A: Fundamentals of Accounting (60 marks)
Section B: Mercantile Laws (40 marks)

SESSION II (Two sections, two hours, 100 marks)

Section C: General Economics (50 marks)
Section D: Quantitative Aptitude (50 marks)

cpt is common proficiency test it is conducted by icai in months of june and december


i would like to tell you that cpt questions are not allowed to take away with students after exam, students have to submit the question paper along with the answer sheet , so no can provide you tha absolute questiojn paper of cpt exam,

its very much true, you can ask from any of your sinears or visit icai.org

i must advice you to purchase for scanner available in market fo cpt exam, so buy it from market and prepare with institute study materials,
