Re: Last year Cut Off for admission to CIM chennai for BSc in Physics
I think you are referring to the CMI (Chennai Mathematical Institute).
For admission in BSc (Honours) Physics you have to take an entrance exam. The exam covers topics like Mechanics, Thermal physics, Oscillations and Waves, Electricity and Magnetism, Optics and Modern Physics etc. As for the preparation of examination it is advisable to study and refer Class XI and XII Physics Textbooks of the National Council of Educational Research and Training, New Delhi. Advanced Level Physics - Michael Nelkon & Philip Parker, Fundamentals of Physics - D. Halliday, R. Resnick and J.Walker , 3000 Solved Problems in Physics - Alvin Halpern, Mc-Graw Hill Publishers and Problems in General Physics- I. E. Irodov. The college sent call letter to students according to the hierarchy of marks obtained by them. Cut off is not mentioned. |
