See as you belong to the technical side and along with this you are pursuing your B.tech in a branch which has a huge scope in the private sector , especially in the IT and ELECTRONICS section of the private sector. So on the basis of this I suggest you to look forward as to make your career in a field which not only enhances your talent and potential but also pays you according to your skills and your ability. So according to me you should opt for private sector jobs as your skills and potential would be identified and acknowledge in the manner in which you wished to. Being an EC graduate , you can find variety of job options in both public and private sector . In private sector you can be placed in companies like NOKIA SIEMENS NETWORK, ORACLE CORPORATION, INTEL, ALCATEL, BELKIN, HUAWEI, SYNTEL, SAPLAB, ACCENTURE, IBM, HEWLETT PACKARD, WIPRO, TCS, INFOSIS, HCL, ZENSAR, COGNIZANT, FIDALITY, PATNI, HONEYWELL, PANASONIC, MOTOROLA, ERICSSON, RELIANCE COMMUNICATIONS. In PUBLIC sector you can find a place in different PSU like AAI, ONGC, ISRO, DRDO, POWER GRID, BSNL, ECIL, NTPC, BHEL, SAIL. You also have a job option in banking sector or in civil services but for this you have to qualify the exam of IBPS and UPSC. Another option for you is to grab a job in DEFENCE or NAVY according to your wish and by qualifying the exam for that. So basically as far as educational qualification is concerned, you are eligible for almost all vacancies in public and private sector organisation but to be placed in one of them you have to go through many rounds of written exam and interview , and also have to qualify them.
