Yes M.ed candidates are eligible for appearing for UGC-NET,they can specialise in there relevant field.

the general eligibility for the exam is :-
Candidates belonging to the General/Other Backward Classes (OBC) who have secured at least 55% marks (without grace or rounding off in Master's Degree (or equivalent) examination in Humanities (including languages) and Social Sciences, Forensic Science, Environmental Science, Computer Science and Applications, Electronic Sciences etc. are eligible to appear for this examination. Scheduled Caste (SC)/Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and Physically Handicapped (PH)/ Visually Handicapped (VH) candidates who have secured at least 50% marks (without grace or rounding off) in Master's degree (or equivalent) examination are eligible to appear in the NET examination. Candidates who have appeared or will be appearing at the qualifying Master's Degree examination and whose result is still awaited or candidates whose qualifying examinations have been delayed may also apply for this Test. best of luck |

if you have 55% marks in the graduation then you can apply for the net exam, and if you full fill this, then you are eliginle for the net exam, so prepare well for the exam, o k all the best |

you can do the following exam in any discipline what you like junior Research follower is very good ,but exam is hard you should work hard very much that are conducted in *social science * Environmental science *Electronic and science and so on, Work hard best of luck |

I have passed M.A in 1998 and I scored 53%.I have passed SET also.I belong to the general catogory.Am I eligible for appearing NET. In websites ,it is mentioned that SET passed cadidates shall be eligible for a relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks .Could you please confirm this.If so where can we find the supporting authentic information ? |

Educational Qualifications for the UGC-NET exams is: Post Graduation pass Minimum 55% marks in Post Graduation for the General and OBC candidates Minimum 50% marks for the SC/ST candidates SCHEME OF UGC NET EXAMINATION: PAPER 1 - 100 Marks 50 questions of two marks each PAPER 2 - 100 Marks 50 questions of two marks each PAPER 3 - 150 Marks 75 questions of two marks each |

Yes you certainly can appear for the National Eligibility Test by the University Grants Commission after completing Masters in Education degree. M. Ed is also seen as post graduation course therefore makes you eligible to appear in the NET entrance exam.
