Hi,
I got a GATE score of 349 in Chem engg. With this score, i got an interview call from IIT kharagpur. I was though not selected in the first 2 rounds of admission in the same. What is the chance that I may be offered a seat in chemical, cryogenic, food processing or aquacultural engineering? I am an open category student.

Also, I have enrolled in post admission offers in IIT Madras( after round 4).
Their 5 th offer list was released yesterday. However, my application status still shows ' registered for post admission offer' unlike ' not offered any course till date'. What does this mean?

you have recieved calls from IITs.. it means you are not doing well in your aptitute rounds.. enhance your skills.. dont worry... you will get a good seat in any of the IITs.. work on your weak points..

Don't worry about this notification as it says about post admission offer and your GATE score is good.
It may happen that they will call you later for personal interview and you get the chance for selecting your branch.

In this mean time you can prepare for your subject concepts ,aptitudes and soft skills in a better way.

There is a chance of hope. You can get into petroleum refinery. This branch is entirely different that only some of the students may take this branch.

IF you get above 98 percentile then you can get admission in IIT for M.Tech in the specialization in which you have done your b.Tech.

Mtech chemical engineering in IITs is the best option.IIT Madras,IIT delhi provides masters degree in chemical engineering.Students are given industrial exposure and are asked to solve the various industrial problems.New industrial projects and assignments are handed over to them.IITs provide stipend of Rs.5000 to the interns.
