Well dear ROBOTICS this word is now becoming a phobia among Engineering students. Every one wants to explore once career in this sector, but only handful candidates opt for it because from actual professional point of India is very far behind in this sector.

Robotics is a field of engineering that deal with design and application of robots and the use of computer for their manipulation and processing. Its nice to know that you want to opt for AI, because it is bad luck of India 2010-2011 that very handful of students go towards it.

However, let me tell you that since you are already a B.Tech (CSE) student you have some vast oppurtunities to persue courses in your master level.

As there courses like- M.Tech (AI), MCA (AI) are the tings which can provide you the best solution whats you nee.

After Master degree a wonderful oppurtunity for P.hd would also be available for you.

However, if we talk about some short term course after B.Tech then I would suggest you following Institutes:-

CDAC, Mumbai

Centre for Arificial Intelligence and Robotics, Banglore

are the best one which has also Industrial training in AI available.

Non Other then MIT (Massachusetts Institute of Technology). It is the world No. 1 Engineering Institute and Father of Modern Robotics.

MIT has achieved benchmaking records in the field of Robotics. And has developed various Robots.

Human Robotics, Personal Robots, Artificial Intelliganc, Anroids and many histories are created by MIT.

MIT's Nexi MDS Robot, Emotional Robots, Teaching Robot are some famous Robots developed by MIT.

Even the Idea of Transformer is developped by MIT.

No dear its not possible.

First complet your B.,Tech then look forward for it.

And also for a better better career prospect I will advice you first complete your B.Tech (CSE) then look forward to opt for Robotics.

Well, I dont think if any Indian Institute have Robotics course in there B.Tech. Generally all are at Master level.

Yeah few exceptions are there.

For example- One can study CSE with specialisation in "Arificial Intelligence" (AI), but he/she also have to go master level later or earlier.

And I also believe and strongly recommend that if someone wants to explore career in Robotics then he/she doesn't search for courses in bachelor level simplely opt for variou specialisation at master level according to ones specialisation in bachelor degree.


Departments of Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Computer engineering of All Old 7 IIT's have some specialised courses in Robotics, but all are for Master ones.

There are various courses in MAster degree, but not offered under Part Time in India.

And also being an IT Engineer path to robotics is very difficult. You can only opt for something from programming or AI side.

Yes of course..........!

If you have done B.Tech (IT) then you can surely expect admission in M.Tech/M.E. CSE.

Even GATE allows to do so.

First, Preferance are given to B.Tech CSE graduates, but IT are also free and accepted by even IIT's.

So, dont worry for that just prepare and score high in GATE.

Robotics is upcoming field and soon it is going to become a hot property in engineering sector. As the program is so good and people are getting to know about it, Indian universities have started offering these programs but not many ar famous for this program. One of the university which is famous for this program is UPES. I have heard that its programs and faculty, both are famous in pan asia region.

is it necessary to score 60% in 10 2 grade in order to excel in field of robotics engineering ...in UG & PG programs
