Re: Marine Engineering after completing BE (CSE)
yes you can go for the marine engg but it will be off quite difficult...
you have to search for the job as marine engineer...or you have to do diploma or any equivalent degree from recognised university or college in marine engg |

Re: Marine Engineering after completing BE (CSE)
The minimum eligibility for M.E. in marine engineering is B.E. in the same. so you can not go for M.E. and will have to pursue B.E. which takes a duration of 4 years to be compleated. Your being an BE(CSE) will not give you any advantage for the course but since you have a dream you must fulfill it.
The various institutes offering the course are Marine Engineering Research Institute, (West Bengal) Marine Engineering & Research Institute (Maharashtra) International Marine Communication Centre, (Tamil Nadu) Indian Marine College (Andhra Pradesh) |

Re: Marine Engineering after completing BE (CSE)
Marine engineering is one of the course which is highly gaining importance!
Its possible for any engineering degree holder to try for marine engineering without any doubt through merchant navy! Its a one year course..it would be helpful if you are from mechanical, production, or automobile trade because they are basics of design in their degree classes! It involves mainly design of any marine vehicle! No worries , with great deal of zeal you can easily enter into marine engineering and successfully complete it with dedication! Once again i'm glad to tell you all that marine engineering is open to all aspiring engineering degree holders! |

Re: Marine Engineering after completing BE (CSE)
The best college for marine engg is MERI FROM IIT JEE.The 2nd most top college is TOLANI(PUNE) BY BITS-PILANI AND MANET(MIT PUNE). ONLY MANET AND TOLANI both have "crisil grade-1".This means after MERI they should be pursued.and almost all colleg have crisil grade-2. MANET AND TOLANI have excellent infrastructure and faculty.

Re: Marine Engineering after completing BE (CSE)
HI,
Yes you are eligible to marine engineering. Marine engineers are sometimes called naval architects. They directly influence the design of ships and other related equipment. A marine engineer may choose to work on the construction of aircraft carriers and submarines or choose to personalize their work by building sailboats and having their own boat-making company. Marine engineers also design steering and propulsion systems for ships. The following steps you need to take: 1 Search for colleges that have a marine engineer program and make a selection. There will be many colleges that offer a degree in engineering but not offer a marine engineering degree. 2 Get your bachelor's degree and take an entry-level position that will start your career with a decent wage. You will want to continue your education while you work. 3 Obtain your master's degree in marine engineering. Your coursework will be mostly lab hours that will teach you how to apply principles of engineering. 4 Create a portfolio as you study and work in the field of engineering. You want to move out of the entry-level stage as soon as possible. A portfolio will help you overcome your weaknesses and build your strengths. 5 Pitch your talent for managing engineers and your skills as a designer to select engineering companies as you climb higher and higher in your career. You may choose just to stay with one company or start your own. 6 Work with specific goals in mind for the direction you want your career to go. Always stay focused on your goals and remember to always look for opportunities for advancement and an increase in pay. |
