The marine engineering is one of the most challenging and adventures careers one can opt for. Candidates have to undergo a pre sea training course in one of the marine institutions. the minimum eligibility criteria for marine engineering is 605 in 10+2.

fees structure for marine engineering:-

The fee structure of Marine Engineering varies from institute to institute. The amount of fees is as low as Rs. 220000 for the whole course in Indian Maritime University and is as high as Rs. 800000 in the HIMSAR.

If you want to pursue Marine Engineering Graduation then you should be 10+2 pass with Physics , Chemistry and Mathematics.

You should also have 6/6 eyesight and no colour blindness if you want to join this course.

You have to clear entrance test if you want to take admission in Marine Engineering course.

There are many colleges in Indian offering this course but you can get admission into a good college only when you get a good rank in the entrance test.

You can apply various entrance exams conducted like IIT JEE , AIEEE and other state level entrances.

The entrance exam will test the knowledge regarding the subjects physics , chemistry and maths. So you must be prepared for it .

After doing marine engineering you can join merchant navy as junior engineer. The salary in merchant navy is very good hence you can go for this course .

my dear friends, currently i am doing mechanical engineering 2nd year.I am very intrested to study marine engineering. i have no proper guide lines to do that. i try to study marine engineer after my 12th std on words .but my 12th (physics,chemistry,maths) total percentage is 57% only.then in english subject i got more than 60%.in tht time i am not eligible to study marine engineering.due to that now i am doing mechanical engineering. i would like to do pg in marine engineering.
