Hello Sir/ Madam,
I have completed my graduation on B.Sc (IT) through Distance Learning Programme from Kuvempu University. Now I want to sit for NIMCET,AIMCET and pursue MCA. Please let me know whether I am eligible to appear for or not?
IF I AM ELIGIBLE PLEASE LET ME KNOW THE OTHER ENTRANCE EXAM DETAILS ...

Candidate must have a bachelor’s degree of minimum 3 years from a reputed Institute with at least 55 % aggregate marks in Graduation as well as adequate competency in Mathematics at Graduation or at +2 levels..SO YOU ARE ELIGIBLE

Yes of course you are eligible for it.

I think you got confused because you have done your B.sc (IT) through distance mode, but there is nothing to worry.

However, NIMCET has little restriction that apart from having MAthematics as a main subject in +2 candidate must have also obtained there bachelor such that they must have opted for anyone of the following as there MAin subject in Bachelor dergee and also have scored at least 60% aggregate.

Mathematics,Statistics,Business Mathematics,Discrete Mathematics,Mathematical Foundations of Computer Science,Business Statistics,Computational Mathematics, Elementary Mathematics,Elementary Statistics.

yes tyou are eligible as you have completed your graduate degree.
You can take admission in MCA.

But NIMCAT & AIMCAT I have no idea .

Who said that there is no MCA Institute in Kolkata...............!

and by saying institution of MCA ,i mean to say coaching center like SANMACS(DELHI) not colleges..

Ofcourse yes. NICET is having criteria that the candidate should have mathematics in their +2 or degree course. the candidate should undergo subjects related to mathematics, like elementary statistics, elementary mathematics, business statistics etc instead of mathematics in their degree course. the scholar should also score 60% marks or 6.5/10 CGPA in each of their +2 and degree examinations. Since you have both the conditions satisfied, you can apply for MCA of NIMCET. AIMCET is not having such hardcore conditions.

i want to tell that that now a days there is very good and become popular. so do not think any other
and you are eligible for sit any competition. correspondence course has same value as regular course. it is because advanced technology used.

I can guess if you are eligible for following entrance:-

hello dear

look, MCA and MBA both are different field.

one side you have to do software related work, where as in other side you have to look in the manegerial work.

but to do MBA minimum graduation qualification is require.

so after B.Sc. IT MBA will be best option for you.

From year 2005 admissions to MCA programme at IIT Roorkee are also made through JAM which were previously only through AIMCET.

Yes eligibility mentioned by you is right one.

i am doing bsc-it from punjab technical university via distance education is am eligible for IIT-JAM cause in PTU course maths is present in only one semister but exams generally requires two papers of mathmatics ..

No problem........!

You can still expect good jobs without switching to MCA.

However, if you still want to peraue MCA then you can do so as Sikkim Manipal University(SMU) offers Distance MCA for which there is a huge list of Criterias (MCA Eligibility Criterias), but yeah you are eligible for it.

You can complete your MCA in minimum 3 years and maximum 7 years. But better to complete in 3 years.

Eligibility as follows:-

• Successfull completion of B.sc(IT/CS)/BCA/B.E./B.Tech(CS/EC).
• A 3 year graduation with 2 year diploma from CMC/ET&T/NIIT/APTECH/2 year advanced diploma in IT from center for electronic design & technology(CEDIT).

If u want to go for MCA & you r BSC IT from distance learning mode then U can go there is no problem to go further.You have to give the entrance exam & to clear it if u want good university.OK

BUT WHEN I VISITED J.N.U SITE THEY SAY , THEy NEEED MATHS ONE OF SEMESTER IN graduetion ... for M.C.A ..... but m doing bsc(it )from gniit i'hve never been taught maths in niit for bsc(it) please dont be frustrated m just confused , bcoz one of my friend is saying ,i'm not eligible for m.c.a from any government college bcoz i dont have maths in any semester please give me your guidance

one of my friend did same thing bsc(it) from niit he said he cant do m.c.a from j.n.u and government university ...bcoz he dont have maths in his bsc(it) ,,, and same thing m also doing bsc(it) from niit ... that m confused ......

you can take admision in MCA as you have completed BSc IT through distance learning mode. The minimum % required differs from university to university . But for MCA math is compulsary in 10 + 2.

There are many universities which givs admission in MCA through distance learning. for example Manipal university.

Do not worry take admission and complete MCA, withgood knowledge.

I K. Brahma have completed my graduation taking BSc.IT with 79% through distance SMU AND 51% in my 10 2(science) having Maths as one of my subject. My question is will i be eligible for JNU MCA Entrance exam? Please reply...

there are no problem because you have done graduation form distance education.

I think you can do MCA because it is based on your 12th subjects if you have Maths in 12th class then you are eligible for MCA entrance......

You can join MCA as you completed your BSc course i.e. Graduation.
Many institutes provide students for distance learning program.
SYMBOSIS and IGNOU are two institutes which provide distance learning education.
So you can try for these.
IGNOU is govt. and Symbosis is Private.

Eligibility criteria for MCA


1) Nationality :-

You must have to be an Indian.

2) Educational Qualification :-

1.>You should have a graduation Degree from a recognized University taking Computer in back round.

2.>Academic marks depend Upon the College.If you want to take admission in a good college you should maintain a good academic marks.

3.)Age Eligibility:-

Your age should be minimum 21 years.
