Respected sir/mam, i just wanted to know if Delhi University have correspondence MCA course. if its available then whats the procedure for admission and eligibility. or we have to give any entrance exam. and what is the name of the entrance and when it is held and from where i can get the forms. kindly help.

I am persuing bca final year....i have got 46% in I.sc(maths) so can I apply for DU MCA..?

Eligibility criteria of MCA in Delhi University:
1. Candidates who have done B.Sc. Hons under 10+2+3 system of education from University of Delhi or any other recognized university and obtained 60% marks in total are eligible to apply.

2. Candidates who have studied B.Sc. (General) Mathematical Sciences (3 years program) with Mathematics and Computer Science or B.Sc. Applied Physical Sciences with Mathematics and Computer Science as subjects from Delhi University can also send their application. Securing 60% scores in total along with 60% marks each in Mathematics and Computer Science is important.

3. Candidates who have done bachelor’s degree from Delhi University with not less than 6 papers in Computer Science and 2 papers in Mathematics in a semester-wise setting or at least 4 paper in Computer Science and 1 paper in Mathematics under yearly exam format can also send their application. However, obtaining 60% marks in total and 60% scores each in Mathematics and Computer Science is a must.

Procedure to apply:

Application form along with information brochure can be purchased from the department. The forms will be issued between 9.30 am to 12.30 pm and 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm. Candidates will have to make a demand draft of Rs.800 in case of general category and Rs.400 in case of SC/ST category. DD should be issued in the name of the Registrar, University of Delhi, payable at New Delhi

Eligibility Criteria:

50% marks in graduation and at least 2 Maths papers in graduation (or) one Maths and one Statistics or Computer Science.

No,Delhi university does not offer a MCA course through a distance learning mode.However a regular program is available & for that candidates must have to appear for an entrance exam.
But if you wish to do a Correspondence MCA then it is advisable to you to go to the IGNOU programme as it have an equal value like Delhi university.Doing MCA in Indira Gandhi National Open University will be an added advantage for the students on the completion of the MCA degree due to their course structure and reputation.

I had passed B.C.A from Rajathan Uniersity with 85% aggregate marks.Now,I want to apply in D.U for M.C.A.
My JAM ranking is 759.
and NIMCAT ranking is 200.
Is there be admission on the basis of above score??
or there is any another entrance Exam in D.U?

Dear friend,
If you are interested in M.C.A in Delhi University,
Then you will have to fulfill these criteria :

1.Academic qualification :
The candidate must complete graduation
The candidate should carry minimum 50% marks in graduation.
There should not be any pending backlogs

2.Age limitation :
The age of the candidate must be within 21 to 32 years.
[SC/ST will get 5 years age relaxation and OBC will get 3 year age relaxation]

To get the admission into the Delhi University,.
DU-MCA 2012 eligibility criteria:

For admissions to the MCA programme of delhi university the candidates must complete the Bachelors degree / masters degree with atleast 60% those who are reserved category students have only 55% of marks in aggregate.
It is also necessary for then to have one paper in mathematics and another paper has computer science/ statistics/ operational research/ mathematics.

Delhi university MCA entrance exam will generally conduct the month of february not announced now.
