I M Student of BSC(IT) and i want to do MCA but my problem is i had not taken math. And in my std 12 no math paper..So plese give suggestion..

sorry but you are not eligible as per the requirements for the course, you must
score atleast 55% marks including maths in 12th exams and in Graduation you
must have subjects as mathematics. You might not get admission in any college
due to said criteria but you can always go for DE course for MCA from any
University, they don't have any such criteria.........

no, without 12th maths you can't do mca if he softwere boom is depressed they may allow

If so then you can not switch to MCA.

For MCA candidate must has opted for Mathematics as one of the main subject and also have passed in it.

So, if you want to opt for MCA you can not do so. However, some private institutes claim such admission but, beware of fraud and discripency in that.

However, you can enroll for M.sc (IT) or one of the Best option is switch to MBA (IT).

Non- other then it would be better for your career prospect.

Dear friend i think you are very afraid for your carrier you are the student of b.sc (it) so please focus on m.sc (it) . A lots of opportunities is their i promise ur carrier will be on high after m.sc so forgot mca and one thing is that you can not take admission in mca without math so think a while

yes for MCA or MBA u must hav the Maths as one subject if u dont have math then dont go to mba , try for the other course ..

further you can join in m.sc (it)...... therefore you can get nice oppourtunities and hence my wishes is that you finished your pg you can go through civil service...... write a exam over it.... all the best...

Most of the Univ/Colletes require Mathes at +2 level atleast for seeking admission to MCA.

But don't loose heart.

Annamalai University, Chidambaram, is offering MCA through Distance Education even for students without maths in +2.

You have to undergo one week's programme there for getting admission.

There may be some other univ/ colleges also offering MCA regular stream for students like You.

But Annamalai Univ. is authenticated one.

sorry dear you are not eligible for MCA .because for MCA it is compulsary to read math at 10+2 level. According to me you should try in MSC IT .there is a very big scope of information technology in this era

MCA degree insists that you have done Maths in your graduate and 10+2 level. I am little surprised that you are doing Bsc IT without maths at 10+2 level. I do believe that maths is quite fundamental to take up any technical course. So better to opt for a management stream like MBA, even some management programs demand good understanding of maths, they conduct an orientation program on fundamentals of mathematics.

You can do MCA from IGNOU University.

This university provide only a distance degree but not Regular.If U read self then this is useful for you.

When u get admission in IGNOU, they provide a math is one subject because IGNOU give a Math a one subject for those student they have not read math.

You can also Do MBA(IT) Regular in Many University. This Degree is also give you a many opportunity in companies.

For doing MCA, it is compulsary to have maths in graduation.

However you may enroll into BCA without having maths as a subject in 12th standard, but for MCA, maths is must.


So, in a short note, sorry but you are not eligible for MCA, from almost all of the affliated institutes.

For doing mca math is very cumpulsary and you have to read math in mca 1st and also in 2nd year so math is very important for mca

Math is the one of the most important subject in each stream you have to read in each stream medical or engineering as well as other streams

for doing mca math is compulsory in class and also u have to passed in mathematic in class 12.beware of fraud some institute provide mca course without math in 12 this is absolutely fraud

M.C.A without mathematics is not applicable as it has a compulsary studies of mathmatics,

you can do MSC (IT), MBA etc. There is good scope of both courses

Sorry friend, you canot do MCA, because maths is compulsory in 12th to do MCA.

in mca mathematic its complasary subject.so you should not be maths subject so no chance for admission in any colleges or top most university.

Yes, mathematics is compulsory for admissions in MCA.
Though it is not compulsary for BCA, but you have to study maths in BBA.

We have almost discussed 100 times that persuing MCA is not possible for those who have'nt studied MAthematics inthere +2.


And again I am saying that candidate must have opted for Mathematics in there +2.

If any institute is offering MCA degree to candidates with no Maths in +2 then its either FAKE or from any least heard Open University like that of Nagaland.

Never go for such kind of things.

If you are not getting MCA, then there is nothing to be dishearted 2 better options you have is MBA (IT) or MBA (Hotel Management or Hospitality management).

So, just think upon the matter.

The eligibility criteria for taking admission in MCA is a bachelor degree in any of the streams like BCA, B.Tech, BBA and B.Sc. The applying students should also have mathematics as a subject in 10+2 level. There is no age bar regarding the admission in MCA degree.

hi frend,if u want to do MCA......MATHS IS MANDATORY IN 12th STANDARD..AND IN GRADUATION U CAN PREFER ANY ARTS GROUP LIKE B.A,B.Com,B.Sc..all the best......

as i have found that mca without maths is not possible accorting to the norms of colleges. so it would be better if you try some other courses. according to my point of view it would be better if you do mba. the importance of this is that you have a computer knowledge and doing mba will improve your businees skills. which would be more demandable in industries.

no dear,you can't do this.as the for getting the admission on the mca based on the maths.so it is very much essential...

Sad but true you have to change you carrier option because leave maths which is very important but such streams are also avaliable which don't required maths

In past few years the rules changes like many colleges opt rule for giving BCA and MCA without maths.
You dont worry about this if you want to join MCA you can join but you have'nt mention that in which university you want to get admission.
If you are interested in MCA without maths then you can try for Sikkim manipal university because they give BCA and MCA without maths in distance learning.
Credit system is there in exam and objective type questions are asked.
If you are interested then you can go for distance learning.
Because you can do your job and study both at the same time.
This a plus point of distance learning.
No problem with this .

Sorry yar....recently...it is not mandatory to have maths in degree for persuaing mca in andhra pradesh particularly yar...i have replied keepingin view of a.p education system..but it is mandatory to hav maths in inter after ssc

it will not affect but you should prepare from outside to complete maths for its necessry.

for MCA entrance u should have mathematics in your graduation.

as u dont have math in ur graduation then it will be better to leave this field .

i will suggest u to give the entrance exams of MBA.

prepare well for it and score well u will have a better carrier in this field.

according to education commission in A.P...you must have maths in+2..and then only you study mca

hi August....sorry to say this...i do not agree with you...because,the students who want study mca need have maths in their graduation....it is optional(may be...they can have maths in graduation..but not compulsory)...it is compulsory to have maths in +2 level.

I am really sorry to say you the it is not possible for anyone who doesnot have maths in class 12th to do MCA,because as per the requirement of the exam you must have math as one of the subject.

I dont understand ! How can you get admission in BCA, if you dont have maths in your 12th exams. To get admission in BCA, Maths is compulsory in Intermediate. But, if you have done your BCA, then sorry to say that you are not eligible to get admission in MCA.

But, If i am not wrong, i think you will get admission In BCA on the basis of Computer Science. Yes, if any student have CS in 12th exams, then he and she are eligible to get admission in BCA. Because manny colleges will give admission in BCA and MCA course on the basis of Compter Science.

So, if you have a CS subject in your 12th, then definately you are eligible for MCA course. But, if you dont have Maths and CS both in your 12th exams, then you are not eligible for MCA. And, if you have get admission in BCA without Maths and CS, then i think your colleges is a Fake college.

So, either Maths Or Computer Science is compulsory in 12th, If you are interested to do BCA or MCA in future. Without Maths and CS, you will not get admission in MCA in any colleges of India...............

It is the prime requirement to take up the MCA
U can try out some distance courses
According to me u must try 4 MBA due to its diversity of field

as far as i know if you dont have maths in your 12th std
you get admission in bca
so you must have maths in 2 of your semesters of bca

so on the basis of your bca you can get admission in bca
no problem in that .

The MCA course pre-requisites demand that the student entering MCA must be
a graduate in any discipline with Mathematics as one of the subjects at 10+2
level or at graduation, with 45% (40% in case of backward class candidates from
Maharastra state only) aggregate in graduation. Some institutes even restrict it
to a first class Maths graduate.

However you are eligible to do MCA through distance learning programme.
Some universities offering MCA through DE mode without such criteria are:
IGNOU
Annamalai University

You can also opt for other related courses like MBA(IT) & MSc(IT)
