Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
DEAR FRIEND ,
it can't be said in advance that what will be cutoff this year in jee because it all depend upon the level of difficulty of paper but there is 99% chance that every year cutoff will increase this year cutoff 1.general -190 2.obc- 171 3.sc/st/pd -90 there is another cutoff in each subject also it means besides clearing total cutoff you have to clear cutoff in each subject but usually it is very low this year 1.maths- around 20 physics -30-40 chemistry- around 30 don't get confused these are only subjectwise cutoff which you must have in order to be eligible to be counted and then ranking is decided on the marks attained by topper till the no seat available. |

Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
Hello,
Last year cut-off for IIT was 178. However cut off changes each year. So it may be possible that 178 is not enough to get into the IIT's this year. So aim for high marks to ensure your seat. Anything above 200 is considered good. |

Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
Hi dear,
the opinion of most of the student giving IIT exam this year is that the paper was easy as compared from rest of the previous year so it may be a chance the the cutoff marks will quite high , so in my sense if you get 194 marks in general category then you may select in iit jee exam but it is not possible to get good college with best courses such as computer science or electronics. thanks |

Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
There is no set criterion on marks that decides your entry in to the IIT’s. For writing the entrance examination you should have scored 60% and above in your +2. You should also have done science with maths to apply for IIT entrance examination. There is a cut off mark set for the IIT entrance examination. The cut off mark varies from one year to another.

Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
Dear Candidate,
Here, you have not specify that in which degree (masters or bachelor) you want to get into IITs. If you want to do Masters then you should qualified GATE exam with cut off score. I mention below cut off score for different category. for general: 760 out of 1000 for OBC: 700 out of 1000 for SC: 500 out of 1000 for ST: 450 out of 1000 Best wishes for your Future! |

Re: Miinimum marks required to get into IITs?
Hi
IIT stands for the Indian Institute of Technologies. They are regarded as the best Engineering and Technical colleges in our country and also the exams conducted by it like IIT JEE, JAM, GATE etc are also considered to be the toughest. The Basic Eligibility Criteria's to appear in the IIT is : 1. You should be a minimum 12th pass from a recognized school or state board in India. 2. You must have secured atleast 60% aggregate in your Higher Secondary. 3. Physics, Chemistry and Maths are the compulsory subjects. 4. You can take only 2 consecutive attempts after your Class 12th boards. So minimum marks required is 60%. Also the Cut off for the IIT JEE is as shown : Hope this helps All the best |
