Bank Clerk Exam Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: The minimum qualification required for this post is that you should be 12th standard pass or equivalent with a healthy aggregate of 60 percent (OR) You should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with an aggregate of 40-45%. (OR) A diploma course of minimum 2 years duration from a recognized institution. Age Criteria: While applying for this exam your age should be anywhere between 18 and 28 years. There is age relaxation of 5 years for the SC/ST candidates and of 3 years for the OBC candidates. Exam Pattern: Generally objective type questions comes from different sections. You will be given 5 options for each question. A question paper of maximum marks of 200 is generally set. The paper duration is 2.5 hours. There is a negative marking scheme in many bank exams where 1/4th of the marks is deducted from your original score for every wrong answer. Questions usually comes from the following sections: General Awareness General English Quantitative Aptitude Reasoning Ability Marketing Aptitude with Computer awareness Syllabus: General Awareness: Questions generally covers current events like National events, International events, Places, Awards, Authors, Economy, Science and Technology, Sports and questions related to banking awareness. General English: Following type of questions comes: Sentence Improvements, Fill in the blanks, Common Errors, Passage, Comprehension, Paragraph Rearrangement, Antonyms and Synonyms. Quantitative Aptitude: Questions comes from sections like Data interpretation, mensuration, Permutation and combination, Number series, Time and Distance, Profit and Loss, Partnership, Ratio and Proportion, Square Roots, Interest, Percentage, Average, HCF and LCM, Number System and Simplifications. Reasoning Ability: Data Sufficiency, Statement and Conclusion, Symbol and Notation, Calendar, Distance and Direction, Blood Relation, Coding and Decoding, Arrangement, Analogy, Odd Man Out, Number Series Test, Alphabet Test. Apart from this 20 questions comes from market aptitude and 20 from computer awareness. Generally they covers the basic issues. Here i have attached some of the papers you are looking for. This will give you a far better idea as to how the questions are designed. This will also help you to understand as to which section deserves special attention and which sections are your strong points. You can then chalk out your plans accordingly. Hope this helps |
