Those candidates who are interested to enter the field of teaching in schools take up the Teacher's eligibility test conducted by the State.

Paper 1 is conducted for those candidates who wish to become teachers for class first to fifth
The Central Teacher's Eligibility Test is conducted by CBSE

Exam Pattern

The paper is divided into 5 sections -

Child Development and Pedagogy
Language I
Language II
Mathematics
Environmental Studies

Each section will consist of 30 objective type questions of 1 mark each.
The time allotted for Paper 1 is 1.5 hours.

The mathematics paper is to check your problem solving ability.

The candidate must have passed senior secondary with a minimum of 45% marks or passed or in final year of B.el.ed , B.Ed, B.Sc, BA with a minimum of 50% marks to be eligible for it.

If you are interested in teaching class 6 to 8 then you can give paper 2 and if interested in teaching class 1 to 8 then you will have to give both the papers
