In fact, a two month course in IT would offer you the same speciality. doing MSc is wasting time. however you must refer to some career counsellers. |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
Hi,
I would suggest you to do MCA which provides you in-depth knowledge about your subject. You will have a total exposure to computer application Later, adding MBA degree would offer lucrative job in IT companies at high-level-entry. That too, Institute from which you are going to do MBA is most important. If you could afford for 4 years and some money, then you will be at your best. Regards |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
Its totally your choice. You should choose what you like. Do you like MBA? MSC?
So first try to filter out what you like. Chose the best for you. Better give an aptitude test which will clearly give you an idea Otherwise there is scope in all. But i will order it on the basis of these days scope 1)MBA -Great scope and you wont regret after joining it. 2)MCA - Jobs and salaries in this field are great and if you too good then you can challenge an engineer 3)MSC(IT) - I think its a saturated filed now. So cant say much about it So think about this. If you dont like one go to next. So select in this manner Cheers and best of luck |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
Before you make a choice for both these courses, what you need to understand is how these courses are classified. MCA is of three years duration and is known as a professional course whereas M.Sc (IT) is of two years duration and is known as a ordinary PG course. If you would like to be a professional and work in software sector or its allied areas taking an MCA would definitely give you an advantage. Moreover since you have done BCA a logical extension of the course would be to do a MCA.

Firstly to get success in relevant field isin your capability, efficiency and the type of work you are doing if you want to get success in technical line it is best you do M.C.A and if in management field you should do M.B.A but it is best that you must do M.C.A and after that you do M.B.A.
GOOD LUCK REGARDS **AMRITANSU** |

Dear friend,
After BCA, you can do M.Sc(IT), if you are interested in your subject and want to gain deep knowledge. Otherwise, you should chhose MCA which has a very good job prospect , or MBA that has better opportunities in case of jobs. So choose your way. Best of luck! |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
MCA is much better to opt. after BCA. Since you have done BCA your basic knowledge and fundamentals will be quite strong enough to undertake MCA as your Masters Degree. (MCA).
And if your thinking for MBA its an good idea, which you can also take while you are working after completion of MCA. MBA can boost your designation in company. |

Dear Friend,
it is totally your choice, you can go for MSC(IT),MCA,MBA, any one of those you can choose, according to me it will right if you select MCA,as you are a student of BCA there are huge scopes in S/W fields. otherwise, you can also go for MSC(IT),as you are a student of computer sc. But not to go for MBA,as it is the business or management line Good luck. |

It is up to you to decide on the courses to join. You can choose do do any one among M.sc, MCA or MBA. If you want to enter in to software field MCA would be an ideal choice. MBA will lead to management field. It would be ideal if you don’t go for MSc IT. Instead join a two month course in IT in a good institution. This will give you similar specializations. Make sure to join a reputed institution for each of these courses. |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
BCA is Bachelor Course and students who are doing BCA going for MCA or MBA..
From last two years it see that the placement of MCA students is more than comparing to MBA students because of now IT sector is increasing day by day..and other side MBA students which is management course are good course and MBA students are also placed in many companies But overall MCA is best for BCA students... |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
You have many options in terms of specialization streams for MBA. You can choose the best option which is suitable to you. You have options of HR, Finance, Marketing, retail etc. Since you are from arts background you may find areas like marketing, HR more comfortable. You can select the specialization stream after carefully analyzing the various opportunities that they provide. You need to attend the CAT/MAT exam as part of the selection criteria for the MBA course. Hence the options are many you can select the option which interests you more.

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
ofcourse you can join MCA after you complete your BCA and if you fullfill all the requirements. Most colleges in Iindia ask for 60% aggregate and you have some small consideration if you belong to SC/ST or OBC.
Most universities in India has 3 years full time MCA course,If you want to earn while learning you can even join even evening colleges. The best colleges for pursuing MCA as per my knowledge are Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi , North Maharashtra University,Jalgaon , Guru Nanak Dev University,Amritsar , Cochin University of Science and Technology , HP University, Shimla, Mangalore University , Madurai Kamaraj University , Institute of Technology and Science, Ghaziabad,India , IGNOU , Sri Vasavi College,Erode , Bharati Vidyapeeth University,Pune , NIT Trichy , National Institute of Technology, Karnataka , PSG College of Technology , Bharathiar University , Motilal Nehru Institute of Technology , VIT University, Vellore , Banaras Hindu University , National Institute of Technology, Calicut , Delhi University , University of Pune , IIT, Roorkee , Jawaharlal Nehru University , University of Hyderabad , Manipal Institute of Technology , Symbiosis Institute of Computer Studies & Research pune, Before joining MCA think of getting a job and you can study MCA through correspondence which will make you to get experience with a degree |

Re: Is MSc(IT) a good choice after BCA? Can I do MCA or MBA after MSc(IT)?
Hi
MSc, MBA and MCA all three are good and fetch you good jobs but the amount of struggle you will have to go through varies. Depending on the market condition and opportunity available now. You may follow the following sequence - MBA - MCA - MSc more opportunity for MBA and less for MSc. MCA is in between these two. Since you have done your BCA, you may go for MCA or MBA All the best |
