C M J University is a Private University recognized by University Grant Commission.
The University apart from University Grant Commission is also recognized by The Government of Meghalaya.

However, the university is not accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

CMJ Is recognized by UCG. But B.Ed and M.Ed is not recognized by NCTE. (Its written on the prospectus of the university).
But Though all the degrees, diplomas etc is 100% valid for govt jobs.
