I have completed my intermediate from Commerce stream. Are there any opportunities for me in any department for Indian Air Force viz. Administration, Back Office, Ground Duty or any other department?

Candidates passed 12th from a recognised board are eligible for recruitment in Indian Air Force.

Candidates can apply for the Group Y recruitment.

The eligibility to appear for the recruitment examination is that :-

Candidate must have passed 12th or equivalent from a recognised board.

Candidate must have scored minimum 50% aggregate and have English as main paper.

The age limit is 18 years.

So, candidates with the above qualification are eligible to appear for the examination and qualifying in the examination will become eligible for final selection.

No, you are not eligible to join Indian Air Force after completion of your Intermediate with Commerce stream. To join Indian Air Force, you have to appear in UPSC NDA examination.

To be eligible to appear in UPSC NDA examination for joining in Indian Air Force, you should have completed Intermediate with Physics and Mathematics subjects from a recognised board. So, being a Commerce stream student, you are not eligible to join Indian Air Force.

Having completed your Class 12th in Commerce stream, you are eligible to join Indian Air force as a Airmen Y group as for other entries with the minimum educational requirement of Class 12th, Mathematics and Physics are required for must at Class 12th level academics.

* You must be an unmarried Indian male candidate.

* Your age must lie within 17 years to 21 years.

* You must have completed your Class 12th in any discipline with at least 50% marks overall from a recognised board.
